Quinton and Phil, our guides for this adventure, went out of their way to make this experience amazing! We were novice kayakers and they made sure we were comfortable at every step. A wonderful experience from start to finish. Communication was excellent. The guides were so friendly. We were fortunate to have Ted as our guide. He knew everything about the flora, fauna, and geothermal features around Lake Yellowstone, and he added jokes and trivia, too! Four hours flew by. We would highly recommend Shurr Adventures.

Our kayak trip was absolutely amazing! We travel quite a bit and Use ViaTours all the time and wouldn’t have it any other way because the quality of your trip and your excursions is certainly determined by the quality of your tour guides. Quintin is a keeper! He is courteous sociable Knowledgeable about the region the history, the wildlife and much more. Our trip was not only fun and athletic, but it was very very informative. Phil was great! Low key, safety conscious, and knowledgeable about the area. A storm blew in quickly and Phil responded appropriately. Got us off the water safely. The owner (Allie) checked with us before AND after the trip. Thoughtful and kind. Although it did not turn out as we hoped, there is nothing you can do about the weather! We appreciated how supportive Phil and Allie were to our group!

This is an excellent way to see these natural geothermal wonders up close and personal, without having to trudge through a crowded boardwalk! These high altitude lakes are also a good water source for a variety of birds, elk, deer, and once in a great while a bear! We will be on the lookout for these animals as we kayak! This is truly an unbeatable experience and an excellent way to get away from the crowds.
