César Manrique‘s Cactus Garden is located in an old quarry and has the largest cactus plantation on the island. It features around 4,500 specimens of 450 different species, of 13 different families of cactus from the five continents.

Centro de Interpretacion de Mancha Blanca
For anyone fascinated with volcanoes the Timanfaya visitor centre is not to be missed. The centre has lots of information, facts and figures, not just about Lanzarote but general volcanology from around the world. The exhibition also includes a seismograph, meteosat and meteorological station and there are videos and interactive maps.
Lagomar Museum
The Lagomar Museum, also known as the House of Omar Sharif, is a wonderful construction sheltered among the remains of an old quarry in the small town of Nazaret. The house, which was originally conceived by César Manrique and designed by artist Jesus Soto is a perfect combination of art and nature, with tunnels, caves and terraces. Each corner designed with beautiful detail.
