Honestly a rip off as a parent, but my 6 & 9 year old had fun. We stayed about 75 mins and then they were ready to go. There isn’t much to do here for the price, but I was glad to see the smiles on their faces. I thought the ride cost extra, but it didn’t. I was pleased to discover that. We rode it more than once. The boys loved the 4D movie and the playground. If you have Lego fans, I say go. My husband sat this one out to save the money and he didn’t miss a thing. This is really strictly for kids and it’s always a shame to make the adults pay the same amount of money to simply chaperone, but not surprised.

I took four kids ages 5-8 and we had a great time. We took advantage of the homeschool discount they offered for weekdays in February, which was a great deal and it wasn't crowded at all. They got to do the master builder class (15-20 minutes), the 4D movie (15 min), and the laser gun ride 3x. They also enjoyed the play ground and the rocket building/interactive video game activity. We did not purchase the VR ride. We spent a solid 3 hours there but did not purchase food. We also exited out the front instead of through the store to avoid any meltdowns about things I wasn't prepared to purchase. They have already asked about going back.

I am not sure which age group would enjoy this as my 6 year old grandson found it “boring”. The only thing we enjoyed was the virtual reality ride which was an extra $6. Save yourself some money and just buy a Lego set of your own.

Sadly, after a 5+ million dollar renovation this place is still not worth the money you pay for entry. At most you are going to spend 2 hours there and pay nearly $200 for a family of 4-5 and that does not include food, add on experiences or any legos to take home. If you are visiting from out of town it is definitely not worth it. We are a local family (live 10 miles away) and purchased a premium/anytime annual membership pre-renovation, primarily because it offered a 40% discount on additional admission tickets. Even though we are local, we only go to LDC maybe 2 times/year, usually on weekdays when there is no school- with Atlanta traffic it is impossible to go after school before they close at 5pm. We might go on a weekend if there is 100% chance of rain that day, no kid friendly movies to see in the theater and absolutely nothing else to do. My children love Legos but the Discovery center just isn't one of there top 10 things to do. The last time we visited was October 10, 2023, a rainy Tuesday during school fall break. This was our first time visiting since the center re-opened post renovation. I had received multiple emails to come back in and that my annual pass had been extended. I was assisted by the manager, Deborah, who informed me that "Legoland was not required to extend pre-existing Premium annual passes but had chosen to gift previous annual pass holders with the lesser Value pass". This meant no discount for additional tickets. I had brought my family and some friends to LDC that day anticipating to use the Premium pass for discounted entry for them. I pulled up the dozen emails I had received and scanned them for information on this change and there was no mention of it, no fine print. I continued to discuss this with Deborah and ultimately she conceded to offer me a 20% discount on our admission that day. This is where things go South... Deborah completed the transaction at the register and then hands me the receipt and I realize she up-charged us for admission and then applied the discount. The day we visited the admission price was advertised as $18.99 per person. She charged us a higher rate of $23.19 and then applied a 20% discount. Essentially there was no discount and in total I was charged more than it would have cost to enter at the regular rate for that day. I am not stupid. I pointed this out to her and with a big smile on her face she asked me "Would you like me to issue you a refund?" I told her no, that I instead I would leave an honest review and here it is.

My eight year old son loved this. He has played in every area and loves it. The cons are: you are trapped here. You cannot leave and come back. We ordered two hotdogs and it took 28 minutes to get them. If you must eat there they should at least have better service. You also cannot go shop in the Lego store that is attached and then come back. I wanted to shop while my son and husband continued to play, but you cannot. So many family attractions allow you to leave and come back the same day. This seems like a nickel and dime money grab from Lego.
