This was supposed to be a self guided audio tour. When I pulled up my ticket on the day of arrival it had me email a guide. I had nothing to download . The guard at the entrance had no idea about this kind of tour, Honestly it would be best to book when you are already in France from a local. I never got anything from this order.

Went to view Jim Morrison’s gravesite, admission is free, didn’t need to spend money for this tour at all.

Disappointed that my audio did not work. Following the tour through the cemetery was difficult. The narrative that accompanied the guide was interesting (according to my friends)

Could not find where to show ticket. Phone number didn't work and no address to check 8n. I ended up just going and having a wonderful time with no cost to get in.

We had heard about this cemetery from family prior to our Paris trip and our hotel happened to be next door so we felt it worth a visit. We decided to download an audio guide which we found online for 5 euro which guided us around 20 famous graves, explaining their history and importance. The cemetery is fascinating and very large! We walked around 4km in all and only saw a fraction of what was on offer. Beautiful and tranquil place, well worth the 3 hours of time out. Some graves require climbing stairs and uneven ground so comfy shoes are a must. Highly recommend

We paid our money for NOTHING!!! We booked a self guided tour and got given tickets. However, we could not download the guide as it was no link, nor could we find anyone who could assist us at the so called “Meeting Point”. There is simply NO meeting point. It was not possible to claim a refund as we booked less that 24 hours before the trip. The phone number given on the ticket is not answered transferring to voice mail. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Will never us it again and will no recommend it to anyone.

Pere Lachaise cemetery is an amazing place to visit but sadly the self guided tour didn’t enhance our experience at all. No doubt down to user incompetence (or internet issues?) but we were unable to find the video directions referred to by the narrators, hence finding the graves was completely hit or miss. Out of the 14 featured, we found about half. The commentary was good though, and we learned a lot. But we left wishing we had booked a human tour guide!

The app did not function and we were not able to use once at cemetery. Lost out on $31 and used google maps instead.

I am so glad we found this audio tour! The cemetery is large and the free pdf map is not easy to navigate on your own. The audio was great in giving us the background on the cemetery and the famous people buried there. The gps enabled app worked great! The one exception was finding Marcel Marceau’s grave site… but we eventually found it with the help of a local. I would recommend doing this audio tour if you plan on visiting on your own. There were a few other famous graves I would recommend adding to the tour that were all very close to Marceau’s grave- Chopin, Bellini, and the story behind the sculpture on Fernand Arbelot’s grave.

While we loved the cemetery this audio tour is extremely overpriced for its content. They skip quite a few significant sites and don't even mention less prominent people who otherwise have important contributions to France and the world. There are free podcasts similar or better than this available to you.
