Sao Sebastiao Viewpoint (mirador)

We leave towards the West of the Island already starting to use the paths that have been cut through the mountains from CampanĂ¡rio. there we will be able to observe the work done by our ancestors in the execution of one of the world heritage sites nominated by UNESCO, I am talking about the famous terraces of Madeira Island. This type of ancestral construction is nothing more than the construction of stone walls of volcanic origin to add to the cultivation area on the slopes of the island. After observing these constructions we will make a brief stop at the SĂ£o SebastiĂ£o belvedere situated 170 metres above sea level and where there is an ideal point to observe the only valley in Madeira Island that cuts through it from north to south.

Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools

Leaving Santa we head towards the beautiful natural pools of volcanic origin. Stop for photos. Access to beach complex not included.

Excellent place to unwind, be alone with your thoughts and just totally relax. Ribeira da Janela became one of my favourite places on the whole island - it’s a village, with just a couple of shops and tavernas, but it’s absolutely beautiful and the nature/views/surrounding forest and Levada walks are something the words simply can’t describe.

Is undoubtedly the best levada on the north coast of madeira island. At first it was cloudy but the weather improved and it became a wonderful day. Thanks a lot for a 5 star day

Levada walk is always a good option, and better if you mix a classic Portuguese offroad car its even better. The vehicle is open top and fresh. Even in a hot day it’s really nice. The levada is perfect do discover the essences of the levada walks in Madeira, everything is green and fresh, we went on a easy 1 hour walk and found some tunnel and waterfalls. There is many bird and the fresh air is amazing.

Petra S

The path is always fresh, and the landscapes are breathtaking, the tunnels are scary at first, but after getting used to it, the guide borrowed from the lanterns, it's amazing how the levadas of Madeira were built. This tour was the most memorable memory of our entire trip, we enjoyed it so much that we booked a tour for another day, which was awesome too.
