We had a wonderful tour. Ines brought us to restaurants, shops, and sites we would not have found on our own and that were not full of tourists. I could write many wonderful things about Ines but there is not enough room so I will say this. Ines is like an old friend who happily shares stories and knowledge with you, not a teacher who only gives facts; she is fun.

Fabulous tour with Inês who was a font of knowledge, on local foods, delicacies and wines of course; but also on the 20th century political, arts and cultural history of Portugal / Lisbon. I think we ended up spending near 6 hours with her (and three charming Americans) during which time we must have visited at least 6 or 7 visits to small specialist food outlets and two restaurants for meals. It was a very happy, convivial group and we learnt loads from the always enthusiastic and cheerful Inês.

Laura was an enthusiastic guide and took our small (4 person) group to a number of interesting and authentic venues for pastries, several lunches, wine tasting, and culinary history. It was fun, informative, and a great way to get to know Lisbon.

This was the perfect way to start our mini break in Portugal. Combining an insight into Portugal's colonial past and their massive impact on food, spices and world trade with an intimate tasting tour. You could never hope to see, meet, experience - and taste! - the range of foods, wines, spices, cheeses and delicacies without our incredible guide. She has a lovely relationship with all the people we met and we were made to feel so welcome in every place and restaurant we visited. Our guide Gi (Giselle) went above and beyond to give us a very special day. Her passion for what she does and her pride in this beautiful city was lovely to experience. We felt so much more at home - and adventurous - after this. It greatly enhanced the remainder of our visit.

This was one of the best tours I’ve been on. Ines was very knowledgeable and personable. We saw a number of interesting places, discussed history and culture and, of course, ate some absolutely delicious food. I can’t recommend this tour enough. I loved it.

Gisela was a wonderful guide. Loved visiting all the local spots and meeting each shop purveyor. The wine shop was a particular highlight! Many thanks to everyone who put this tour together.

Kiki, our guide, was the best part of our tour. She expertly wove in the history of Portugal along with the contributions and trade that have influenced food around the world - literally- and the modern day food scene. She chose local foods representing traditional Portuguese dishes and influences from the former colonies. It was always interesting, delicious and fun. The 5 hours absolutely flew by. Her love of her neighborhood, her country and its culinary traditions was profound as was her knowledge of history. We cannot recommend her highly enough. She has a real gift for explaining things in an entertaining, engaging and personal way.

Laura gave us a nice background on how the Portuguese specialties developed and we met many small shop owners and two restaurants in a quiet neighborhood showcasing their amazing food (and wine).

We have been on walking food tours all over the world, and this was one of the best! Our guide Kika was amazing, and engaged the six guests in an adventure not only exploring the culinary highlights of Portugal and its former colonies, but also of its history, including life under dictatorship, sharing family insights. The stops were well-chosen to reflect not only delicious food, but also a truly local experience. She was also helpful if providing advice on places to eat, drink and shop in Lisbon.

Had a really good time with Kika. Found this tour through the FT and it didn't disappoint: Really interesting insights and also excellent recommendations for other restaurants. If you only do one thing in Lisbon, it should be this tour.
