I requested this tour on the same day. Tripadvisor very kindly found what tours were available same day and our tour guide Patrick kindly stepped in at last minute notice. It was not his usual tour route but he was still very knowledgeable about the route and happily volunteered to add his normal route to our tour at no extra cost. He was very engaging and entertaining and clearly was passionate about Liverpool and history. It was a great tour and I would recommend to anyone.

This tour was organised within 24 hours of coming to Liverpool which in itself was extraordinary! We were greeted by our guide who took us exactly where we wanted to go. He was friendly, informative, and accommodating. I did contact a few other tour companies but they were either extortionately expensive or just never got back to me. Highly recommended to anyone who wants a private tour to your specific needs.

i did tour 1 in July and it rained for the whole two hours so to do tour 2 in brilliant sunshine was fantastic. We started off in the cultural quarter. Our guide Rob told us about how the museum library and art gallery came into existence through the benevolence of the cities merchants, we then moved on through the city taking in the magnificent St Georges hall and the last place the Beatles played in the city the Empire Theatre. Moving along Lime St and up into the Georgian Quarter learning how as the merchants got richer they started to move further away from the river. Rob did inform us that a lot of our merchants were involved in the slave trade. We visited both of the grand cathedrals which are connected by Hope Street. This street has a lot of connections with the Beatles as well as culture. All in all avery enjoyable tour with a really great guide Rob who was very knowledgeable and i could tell had a passion for the Beatles

I attended a fantastic tour with a outstandingly knowledgeable guide at the end of July and felt safe and secure at all times during this. Not only was the tour content very interesting but social distancing was implemented during the entire time

We went on both the morning and afternoon tours on different days, led by 2 different guides. Morning tour was guided by a knowledgeable guide who made her tour unique by including personal stories along the way. The afternoon tour guide was equally knowledgable but it was like listening to an audiobook. No personal touch but still informative

Completed the beetles walking tour on the Tues. Jean was a personal guide and gave copious amounts of information on the city itself and the famous 4-The Beetles. With such high expectations she recommended the 2nd tour which we completed on the Thurs. Unfortunately this was lacking a bit of energy and slightly dry. The tour starting at the Dock is the better of the two.

We visited as three friends on our first trip to Liverpool. We wanted to explore a bit of the city and learn some of the history. Jean was our guide and she was absolutely fantastic. Kind, chatty, friendly and she really knew her stuff! The tour went over as she was so enthusiastic and shared so much information. She also helped us out with restaurant recommendations. We had a great tour and introduction to Liverpool. Thanks Jean!

Patrick our guide was very friendly and took time to answer our questions and went out of his way to show us buildings he thought we'd be interested in. I didn't feel inundated with information and the walking pace was comfortable. A really pleasant afternoon in the city. I'd like to do the Albert Dock tour now definitely. Thanks Patrick.

Loved it - really entertaining, relaxed and at just the right pace, and all on a lovely sunny day which made it the perfect afternoon trip go on with friends. Thank you

I was born in Liverpool, I've lived in Liverpool, I know Liverpool or at least that's what I thought until booking my partner and I onto this fascinating insightful walk around parts of the city centre that are not obvious. Doug our guide was as safe as houses, donned with a protective face screen and a strict social distance policy, he even offered us masks and gloves if we wanted. Straight from the off, Doug was telling us facts about the city that I just didn't know in an interesting and entertaining manner, have a guess where the material for Nelson's sculpture came from? I won't ruin it for you. I saw where Roy Rogers and his horse Trigger stayed when visiting the city, Where Charles Dickens read to the public, the smallest pub in Liverpool, where John Lennon got married, where Brian Epstein was born. I learned just how magnificent and culturally diverse this great city is. Where a 4 times British Primeminister and the manager of the biggest band the world has ever seen were born in the same street. It was a great way to spend a couple of hours learning a little more about this beautiful city and the events and people who have shaped it, good and bad. Doug was entertaining and informative all the way round and quite clearly has a passion for his city. Well worth booking on this walk whether you are from Liverpool or coming for a visit. Do it.
