A great off the beaten track tour - no crowds but still fabulous places to stop. Informative, friendly and knowledgable with the right level of content. A nice mix of walking to see the sights and driving. Stopped for the best poncho we’ve had and a lovely place for lunch - no frills but great food. Would highly recommend as nothing too much trouble for Nuno

If I could give more than five stars, I would. I spent 2-1/2 days with Nuno touring the gorgeous island of Madeira. I have some mobility issues so he tailored the itinerary to my abilities. That said, I did not feel like I missed a thing. We covered everything I wanted to. He made sure access was as easy as possible at each stop so I didn’t waste any unnecessary effort. He is incredibly knowledgeable and extremely thoughtful and considerate. He loves this island and is proud to show it off. He is also a former professional photographer so sent me photos each day of everything we had done and seen. I cannot recommend Nuno highly enough. Book with him and you will have a very special experience indeed.

Nuno - we can only hope our words will do justice in sharing with everyone how magical this excursion was for us. He was responsive, professional, friendly, courteous, trustworthy, fun, reliable, and honest. We expressed what we generally wanted during this excursion and Nuno did the rest. We visited places only a local like Nuno would know. Being a professional photographer he took pictures that captured the beauty of Madeira with two travelers reveling in the incredible views this island offered. Trust Nuno and go with the flow. We wanted to see unique views of this gorgeous island without visiting cluttered touristy places and he delivered like no one else. Our time in Madeira was short however we made a friend for life. This was one of the best tours I have been on. Nuno was right on time for pickup and took us around the western side of the island to see beautiful views of stunning landscapes. We had the most delicious lunch (the best chicken I have had in many years) and he even took photos for us a long the way. Highly recommend this tour. It is worth every penny. We did it the first full day on the island and it was a great way to get to know some of the island and look for things to come back to later.

We loved our day out with Nuno. He took us to some beautiful spots along small backroads - all places we would never had discovered by ourselves. We had several stops for short walks. Nuno selected a local lunch spot on the north coast with a great view and delicious food. We stopped again later for dessert & coffee at another spot with a spectacular lookout over the coast. Across the day Nuno shared interesting commentary about the history and culture of Madeira, as well as useful tips for the rest of our stay. We would highly recommend this private tour as an option to anyone wanting to see as much of the island as possible with only a few days!

This tour is the best way to see Madeira! Nuno is an excellent guide, who's very knowledgeable about the island and who takes pride at what he does. He showed us a few truly amazing places that none of your typical "touristy" tours will show you. We ate excellent food, had interesting conversations and both my wife & I enjoyed every minute of this mini adventure. Our only regret is that we didn't find Nuno at the beginning of our trip, so he could show us even more hidden gems of this amazing island! We will certainly be back soon; booking another tour with Nuno will be the first thing to do, even before booking flights & hotel.

The tour with Nuno should be the number one priority for anyone visiting this beautiful island. Nuno’s enthusiasm for Madeira is contageous. He is extremely knowlegeable and tailored the guided tour to our interests. He will take you to his «secret» spots not crowded with tourists. Nuno’s tour will work for both first time Madeira novices, and for seasoned Madeira return visitors. For our family group of 5 this was our first introduction to Madeira and gave us plenty of ideas for the rest of our visit. One highlight for me was stopping for lunch at a hillside remote restaurant on the north shore with amazing authentic Madeira food and a magnificent view.
