    My experience in Manchester was really pleasant thanks to my guide that showed my all sorts or interesting places, she guided my though the city downtown and all the shops,museums and restaurants there are.

    Our host was waiting for us at the allotted time and was quite knowledgeable about Manchester. He took us to places that we would not have found on our own and answered most of our questions. I’m not sure it was good value for money and there are quite a few free tours available. As far as the company is in concerned - CityUnscripted there was a lot of hype about how our guide would contact us within 24 hours of making the booking to discuss what we wanted to do and fine tune the tour - Didn’t happen - just an email from the company asking us what we wanted to do and see. Presumably it’s a bit hit and miss with this company as to who you may get but I think I would hesitate to book with them again. I can get most of the information from trip advisor for free. All that said our guide was very personable and showed us the places that we were interestd in
