The tour was good paced, we had enough time for every stop. We weren't overhelmed with a lot of infos, it was good amount for us. We were satisfied. The vehicle had aircon.

François, our guide and his little dog chica were a joy to be with for the whole day experience. François provided more information than we asked for which was very nice and was very knowledgeable. I don’t believe there was one question that he could not answer. The tour of the volcano area and the national park was like being on a different planet, and we quite enjoyed the information provided at the museum. We were picked up and dropped off right on time and all in all it was a very memorable experience.

We've just got back from this trip. We were picked up from our hotel by Miguel who was our driver and guide in a beautifully clean and well maintained mini van, there were just 8 of us on the tour so it was very personal and private. Miguel was really knowledgeable and gave us all loads of information as well as answering all our questions! The tour covered so many beautiful sights from Masca, Icod and the dragon tree to beautiful Tiede, and because we were a small group it wasn't rushed and Miguel offered us more time in places if we wanted, it really has been a wonderful day our and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this day trip, thanks Miguel for a great day

The program of the trip was good, comprehensive and interesting. Pick up time was stop on time. Driver/guide spoke basic English, was very friendly and nice, but did not have sufficient English to provide a “guided tour”. My handbag with all valuables (documents, cash, credit cards) was stolen during this trip. It was stolen at the end of the day during the very brief stop, it was stolen from the vehicle. So, our holidays were completely ruined. I wish the travel company would have provided specific information regarding safety in Tenerife. Police later told us that theft in Tenerife is of epidemic scale. It is done by the “professional” groups. It is not just an episodes case. Tourists are targeted and followed. I did not have this information before the holidays, so I lost my vigilance literally for a few minutes which resulted in horrible consequences. Instead of going to water-park with my son, we were visiting police stations, banks and embassy office. We had to apply for emergency passports in order to travel back home. I really wish I had an information how unsafe Tenerife island is for the tourists before making a decision to go there.

Great trip. Loved the view of Teide. Our guide gave us plenty of time in each place and he did an excellent job of the driving. Well worth the full day.

What to expect

Teide National Park

We drive a little further in to the Teide National Park, and we arrive at a place where we have the opportunity to take a short walk to the crater of the Sámara volcano. We also will pass by the old peak of the Teide “El Pico Viejo” with its huge lava field of over 5 km². Fairly recent with just over 200 years ago. Further on we arrive at the most beautiful place of the park at the famous rocks “Roques de García”, and here we have time for some beautiful pictures. Across the street at the Parador del Teide there is also a cafeteria and a nice souvenir shop.

Masca Valley

We visit the small hidden village of Masca in the middle of the Teno area. Here we have time to take some pictures, and for a break next to the local church with a beautiful huge ficus tree of a few hundred years old. We drive on to the next village los Carrizales where we have the opportunity for a short walk. Furthermore, we drive along the winding road over the mountain and arrive on the north side of the island where local agriculture clearly dominates.

Garachico

The following stop in the village of Garachico which was completely rebuilt after the city was completely destroyed by the lava flow of the black volcano in 1706. Here we have time to step past the old castle of San Miguel, the church of Santa Ana and the park where we can see an old wine press.

Icod de los Vinos

Drive to Icod de Los Vinos the land of the Thousand years Drago Tree, little break. Then we drive to the very beautiful viewpoint of the village Chirche for a short photo break.
