This was completely different from other food tours we have done. But in a negative way. The guide was not interactive and public speaking was not her thing. Just kinda bland. Food was fine though

Communication was excellent. Our guide texted before meeting. It is probably unrealistic to plan on free parking so other parking options would be helpful in that text but otherwise it had all the info we needed. It was a good selection of food, really more than I had expected. It was nice to learn some history of the area. Our guide was very nice. Our group was small (8) which made it really easy to be able to listen. We had never done a food tour but will definitely look into doing them in other cities.

The tour guide seemed to be very nervous and unsure of what to do. Unfortunately, she did not know much about the historic facts of the city and one of the other tourists were filling her in on the history. She was very nice, pleasant, and easy to talk to but needs more experience. The food was mediocre at best. I understand that the Rathskeller is the oldest restaurant in Indy but the food is not good. I also understand that two of the restaurants on the tour recently closed and the Taste of Indy Food Tours were scrambling to find replacements. The new restaurants, especially the ones in “The Garage”, were not prepared for us. Arrangements were not made in advance to have seating for all of us so once we got our food we had to cram in a table with other people, then walk and eat to stay on schedule. The best part of the meals was the ice cream at the very end. I know this can be a better tour, especially for $73!! So disappointing all around.

We are not locals of the Indy area so it was fun to get a chance to explore the capital and find some interesting spots for food and drinks. It ended up being a little colder than expected and we did spend quite a bit of time outside walking. The restaurant choices were several blocks away from each other but very doable for walking. We ended up going to the Rathskeller, Louvino, and then the Garage which were all awesome spots and 2 of which we had not been to before. Food and drinks were all items we had not experienced before so the overall Food and Drink experience was stellar! The aspect of the tour that caught me off guard was our group dynamic and tour guide. We had roughly 10 group members and there was an individual who had been drinking prior and was boisterous and lacking a speech filter. There was another individual who would sometimes wander off and reappear. Didn't prevent us from having a good time and was not a problem for us specifically, but could be distracting or less appealing to others who have more conservative expectations of the event. Our tour guide was the type of person who was very knowledgeable of the sites we visited, friendly and had great conversations when on the tour portion, but we did end up rambling along at certain points. The tour guide also did not sit with us while we stopped at the restaurants to engage the group in conversation - just not something I am used to on a tour. The tour ended up lasting 4 hours which was also beyond our original timeline but we were flexible, fortunately. We also ended up at the final stop around dinner time rush and we were at The Garage. The Garage is known for being a very busy spot with limited seating. I would advise doing any Garage food spots earlier in the tour since you cannot reserve any tables there. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and would do another, you just have to be aware that you will have to adapt to the group you're with when you get there.

We had Dani as our guide. She was amazing! She knew her history well and she was very fun. My husband and I were glad we got to see lots of parts of the city and restaurants because we don’t live in the area. The food was a great variety and I loved the differing styles of food and atmosphere each restaurant brought. Definitely recommend!

My daughter and I were having a Girls weekend in Indy and decided to do this tour. I had lived there many, many years ago but so much has changed! Learning some Indy history was very interesting and we went to places I would never have explored on my own. The food was fantastic at each place. No need to plan dinner because the sample sizes are very generous. I highly recommend! Looking forward to taking another one in a different part of town next time!

This was a great 3 hour tour! My wife and I went with 2 other couples and had a great time. The food was good and the tour guide (Dani) made it even better. This is the second tour I've done and will be doing another. We loved it.
