What to expect
CBS Building
We will discuss and learn about William Paley, the founder of CBS, how he shaped the company that shaped Television and Radio. We will also look at men like Clive Davis, Walter Yetnikoff and John Hammond who you may or may not know of who lead the world of music from behind the scenes for decades. They guided and managed the artists we all know and love today, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Billy Holiday, Bob Dylan, Michael Jackson, Janis Joplin, just to name a few.
Rockefeller Center
In these buildings, people worked and decisions were made that have shaped our culture. From the invention of television and growth of radio to the foundations of American musical culture. Companies like Atlantic Records, NBC, Warner Brother Movies, the New York Cosmos, featuring Pele had offices in these buildings and exciting decisions were made there!
Times Square
We will visit several buildings on Broadway in Times Square where music history was made and we'll discuss the people who worked there and who currently work there and are shaping our entertainment landscape today!
Ed Sullivan Theater
