Our tour started with a warm greeting from native Zarragozan Jorge and then a trip to the central market where we bought ingredients to make 4 delicious dishes- tracitional tomato salad, a layer veggie tapa, tortilla española, and torrijas (dessert). We strolled through the old city to the beautiful Zarola cooking school. Where we cooked, chatted and ate. Jorge is very knowledgeable about the region and customs. I’m excited to replicate these recipes at home. This experience was a great start to our stay in Zaragoza. I highly recommend it!

Liked the market and tapas tour so much I booked the market shoping and cooking activity the next day. We had discussed some of the possible dishes and settled on a few. Then we shopped in the market and added a few items from other shops on the way to the cooking studio. Over the next few hours we peeled, chopped, and cooked four dishes we prepared using Spanish techniques and classic local regional ingredients. Oh yea, after the knife work we opened the wine. Excellent guide/ instructor who covered the dish preperation and some of the historic influence on the ingredients, techniques and cultures that influenced the dishes. I'd do it again given the opportunity.

Great time with Jorge! Learned a lot of new dishes, ate a lot, and was very grateful for the chance to learn about Spanish cuisine and culture. Don't miss out -- this is definitely the highlight of my trip to Zaragoza.

Had a great time with Jorge, the friendly, knowledgeable guide. I was the only person at this class, and Jorge went out of his way to make the experience very memorable, taking me to the market, buying ingredients, and chatting with me about his life in Zaragoza and the culture of Spain. We made several dishes: a tapa with potato, jamon, and boreja (spelling? Almost a sort of spiny spinach); a paella with lamb and longanisa sausage; a tortilla Espanola with potato and onion; a tomato salad; and a torrija, or a French toast with cinnamon, orange and lemon zest, and milk. All the dishes were delicious, well-made, and I really learned a lot. I really enjoyed the experience. Both Zaragoza and Jorge are highly underrated--definitely sign up for a tour with him. It's a highlight of my trip so far.

This was a great experience for us. Jorge was a wonderful host/guide, and was friendly and professional. He started by giving us the background history of Zaragoza and then a market tour. We spent a few hours cooking and having a bit of wine. The dishes were typical of Spain and the area. Everything was delicious!. We very much enjoyed our time with him.

This was such a beautiful experience! It was just me on the day, but the guide Jorge made the day so comfortable and interesting. We shopped in the markets and then spent a few hours cooking up local dishes typical of Aragon. I can’t even pick a favourite, everything was delicious and easy to learn! Would definitely recommend for anyone - from the area or not, alone or in a group.

Jorge was entertaining, gracious and informative. We enjoyed this class so very much- shopping for ingredients, strolling through town, prepping the food, discussing cooking techniques and eating! I would highly recommend this !

This cooking class was so much more than expected. I saw a review that said they made paella and some tapas. What that review didn't say was that this class came with a 15 minute history of Zaragoza; a guided walk through the historic marketplace and commentary on its Zaragoza specialties; a cooking class with recipes for Zaragoza special foods, such as lamb paella, tapas using ingredients only available in the Zaragoza area, a Spanish omelet and Torrija; local wines; and a cooking class held in a professional cooking school led by an internationally-certified chef with great personal style.

Jorge provided an excellent, informative four hour cooking experience. It included a short history of Zaragoza, a tour of the market, and cooking a four course meal. Jorge explained the layout of the market and information about the different foods. We then walked to a modern cooking school where we assisted with the cooking. Jorge explained the cooking process and gave detailed information about the ingredients used. Thank you Jorge for delicious food, a wonderful time, and insight into life in Zaragoza.

My wife and I had a tremendous experience spending nearly four hours with our guide and chef, Jorge. The tour starts in front of the newly-renovated market, near the statue of Julius Caesar. You get a historical overview of Zaragoza, and after shopping at the market for food, walk to a nearby (professional) cooking school. You end up eating a lot and can have beer/wine, if you wish. We have done lots of tours all over the world and rank this as one of the top three.
