I have visited the Glacier before but never had experience to have a so closer view and feeling of the glacier. The canoe tour was excellent as well as the additional work out. Devyn was our guide and he did an outstanding job including keeping the group involved, committed and pumped up! He say many jokes and keep a good spirit during the experience. Highly recommend this tour.

Canoeing around the Mendenhall Glacier was the highlight of our trip to Alaska. Liquid Alaska thought of everything. They provided boots, rain gear, and gloves to protect our hands from the cold water. We lucked out and had a beautiful day with no rain, but even if it had been raining, it would have been magnificent. The canoes held 9 guests plus Devin, our guide. Devin gave us just enough breaks on our way to the glacier to allow us to rest as well as spend enough time viewing the glacier. We would certainly recommend the tour, and we would recommend Devin. He weas knowledgeable about the glacier and surrounding area, made sure we followed safety guidelines, while also ensuring we had a memorable experience.

Mike was genuinely passionate & knowledgable, not only about natural & historical facts, but also making real time judgements about wind conditions & the path to take with the canoe. 🛶 The entire tour was exceptionally well organized, efficient & I was thoroughly impressed with all the high quality gear & snacks that were provided. I would highly recommend Liquid Alaska since they take you up closer to the glacier than most companies. I would note that we had very strong winds that day & the participants should be reasonably fit.

The canoe trip was an absolute blast and the view of Mendenhall Glacier was breathtaking! We had the privilege of having Mike lead us through the adventure with his passion, enthusiasm, positivity, great stories/information, and hilarious jokes! Thank you Mike!

The view of the glacier and the waterfalls were amazing! Our guides Molly and Sophia were so sweet and helpful! We loved the destination but it was truly special thanks to the wonderful people who guided us.

Riley and Mike gave a great tour: they were knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and adaptable. Hard to ask for more in guides! The canoe trip itself was just right: only took about 20 mins to get from Juneau to Mendenhall Lake, and we paddled for about an hour to get a bird’s eye view of the glacier, then back. Moderate workout, and we learned a lot. Highly recommend the tour, and these guides!

DO THIS!!! We booked to canoe tour (not the one with the hike). I would actually like to go back and do the canoe with the hike. This thing did not disappoint. From the suit up to the paddling, to spectacular views of the waterfalls, and the wildlife and the GLACIER- it was GLORIOUS! Make no mistake, this is a workout. I don't know what happened but we ended up with 5 paddlers (4 petit women and one man). and we had to make it work. Add to that that the wind was against us on our way there (it was a Godsend on out way back). Our fearless leader and expert guide Shayla was so encouraging. She pushed us and managed our trip so that we had plenty of rest breaks that coincided with amazing views. We got pretty close to the glacier and the pictures tell it all. It was wonderful, it was safe (and safety first), it was an adventure. Great for families, great for friends, great for couples. If you are searching for something to do in Juneau, look no further. What to expect: 1) A short 20 minute drive to location 2) Safety brief and suit up with life vest (you can forgo most of the water proof gear but I think we looked more the part with the gear) 3) Canoe to the glacier- you are going around a small peninsula to get to the glacier and going past a majestic 200+ foot waterfall. Make sure to have those cameras out. Depending on the wind and the number of paddlers this could be an easy workout or a really challenging one. 4) You get pretty close, but on this one you don't stop to walk near the glacier. 5) There is a snack break (granola bars and fruit snacks) 6) Short drive back to the meet up This was THE best excursion we did on our Alaskan cruise. If you have a choice, I highly recommend it.

My family and I had a wonderful experience. From getting on the van and into the canoe, the process was smooth and thoughtfully organized. Mike was a super knowledgeable guide, whose funny stories and interesting facts about the land and the sights we were seeing made the journey so enjoyable and easy. We were also able to see the glacier up close, with no other boats, rafts or groups in sight! I know we were lucky that day, but still the curated experience with a small group was special. To Mike's mom thank you for raising a son who shows up with 100% dedication and passion! His friendly nature and genuine love of the land and adventure made our trip extra special.
