This was an interesting tour that we had with Javi. We got to try some delicious oils and wines specific to the region. There is a lot to learn. My friend and I thought that it was much too expensive for what it was however. It would be worth it at half the cost.

We learned about how olive oil making has been much mechanized from the day when olive groves had 300 workers living on site. Now reduced to 30. The olive oil tasting was delicious. Similarly the wine production is now a mixture of old and new methods. It’s too late this time of the year to see grapes being picked or olives gathered close at hand. Try the Amontillado!

What a wonderful trip to take from Cordoba. Javi was a fabulous knowledgeable guide showing us the local olive & wine production of the area. He is well travelled and is now back at his home town & is passionate about food & wine production from the area and is keen to impart his knowledge. Communication was great prior to the trip and Javi picked us up on time as expected. There was just the two of us on this tour & he drove us out of the city to the olive growing area picking up delicious bread on the way from the bakery. We were lucky to see the olive harvest & even luckier to meet the owner.Had a lovely breakfast there tasting the different quality oils. Then continued to the bodega for the wine production with tasting afterwards. All very interesting. We had a fantastic morning discussing so many different subjects with Javi. He is a wonderful friendly guy & we enjoyed his company very much.

We visited Córdoba in July 2019 and had an outstanding tour of olive oil mills and Sherry wine production with Diego. The tour was a highlight of our trip to Spain. Diego is an excellent tour guide guide who works hard to come up with thoughtful experiences and to ensure that his guests have a great adventure. Being with Diego is like being with an old friend. He is friendly and easy to converse with and clearly has a passion for his culture that he is willing to share. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. If you plan to visit this region you should go out of your way to connect with Diego and experience his hospitality and learn so much about this wonderful place. The agriculture aspects of this tour were fantastic to see and to learn about. It was nice to see more than an old castle and really connect with the history of this place.

Diego led us on a really wonderful tour of an olive farm and mill in addition to a sherry production site.He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his home of Cordoba and the outlying areas. For nearly 5 hours of tour and tasting, I felt like this was absolutely worth the price especially since Diego only took out myself and my sister. I would highly recommend Diego to anyone who is traveling through Cordoba and I would recommend this tour specifically because it off the main tourist track.

This tour was fantastic. Diego did an amazing job showing off the region with tons of information and great knowledge for the tastings. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants something more than your standard 20 person tour group as he made the tour so much more than just a guide talking to you.

We wanted to get out into the countryside and visit a farm where olives are raised and pressed into olive oil. It was easy to meet at the Victoria market and we traveled by car to a beautiful organic farm - complete with historic buildings and a friendly dog. We were lucky to be there for the harvest in mid-November and saw the collection, sorting, pressing, and bottling of the olive oil. When we did a side by side tasting of the different qualities of olive oil, we learned that what we purchase in our American supermarkets is far inferior! We brought a few bottles home as gifts (which were very well received). To end the day, we went to a place where sherry is aged and had another tasting there. Diego and Jose were excellent guides and it was so nice to travel in a small group of 5 persons plus two guides. There was lots of time for questions and they tailored the day based on our interests. Their English is very good, their stories entertaining, and their companionship charming. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day outside the city. At the end of the tour, Diego recommended some excellent restaurants to visit for tapas in the old city.
