Our guide Bobby, provided a fun and educational tour through Old Towne Alexandria and then dropped us at Mount Vernon. Highly recommend this tour of Mount Vernon to explore the property and learn about the Washington family. Our group learned a lot.

Easy transportation to get there and interesting to really go back in history. Don’t miss the clothier conversation - so much great information!

We enjoyed Mt. Vernon. Our driver was excellent. Our only complaint is that the air conditioning on the bus was not working. It was a hot day and our drive was suffercating.

The tour out and back was really interesting. Mount Vernon was stunning. I wish I had had more time. It was a bit rushed.

Due to Spring Break crowds, lines were long but still a great trip. Robert was a great guide, full of information! Would have loved more time with less crowds but definitely worth it!

Give yourself plenty of time to review the house and the estate grounds. Make sure that you use the QR Code so that you can listen to the narratives at the various spots on the grounds. The house itself was under some construction, so it's access was limited. Guides were in each section to provide some background on the rooms, but we were run through in a line with limited time to view. The museum in the visitor center is well worth the visit. If you have young kids, make sure you ask about the scavenger hunt, which kept my young one engaged in the visit.
