A really fun day out. The park is clean and the staff are friendly. We enjoyed all the rides and the shows were great.

Awesome family day out! Myself, hubby and kids (teens) had a fabulous day here on the 23/12/22. Both my kids are tall enough to go on all the rides, and we had so much fun riding them all. The lines with the exception of the scooby doo coaster were not too long, and the staff were also super friendly. I was impressed by their safety vigilance as well - my son had staff scrupulously checking he was secure in his harness and that it touched his legs on the green lantern - thank you for a ripper day!

Family of 4 $400 worth and the kid got to go on 2 rides. It was hot and sweltered in lines. Wait times from 60-80 minutes. The virtual cues were fully booked also.

Terrible!!! Its not how it used to be. The lines /wait times were disgusting!!! We got there early. Should be capped crowds!! Dont bother!!

Worst experience I’ve ever encountered. It is criminal what this place is charging and promoting. We purchased a virtual queue for $$ which was a complete irrelevant marketing ploy to steal money from everyone. Every queue was already “booked”. Each line was at least 90 minutes. Over crowded. Left with two children in tears after two hours who didn’t get onto a single ride.

where do I start what a waste of money and time, there is no way I would ever go back there again I treated my grandchildren and my family to a day at movie world how disappointing save your money and spend it on something more fun as this was not fun we did not get on any rides as the wait was 2 hours on most of them I paid $40 for photos and did not get any really waste of time never never again.

I don't normally write reviews but I wanted to post a positive one, as reading the bad one last night had me very worried for today. However we arrived at movie world as soon as it opened, 9:30 and we headed straight to the rode we wanted to do the most, dc coaster. They started rides straight away, not at 10am as they say on website. This meant we were on with no wait straight away. We used the app and put ourselves on a wait list for another ride, and then set about ticking off our bucket list of rides. Left park at 4:30 and my two teenage sons have been on 7 rides and seen a car stunt show. Both enjoyed the day. Few little tips, pack snacks or lunch in backpack so you can eat while waiting in line. We used glink and shuttle bus to get from GC to park, they were both efficient quick and easy. Great day!

This was soooo disappointing. I paid $320 for two annual passes for my son and I and when we went to the park everything was closed. The majority of the shops, shows, parades, rides and all reason to be there shut down. I understand COVID is an issue but they need to price accordingly o what’s actually available. 5 rides in the entire park open including a little kiddies roller coaster... and wait times mostly over an hour. Very disappointing given we rang the call centre prior to purchase and they advised everything would be open except for a couple of rides.... “but of course closures on the day due to maintenance may occur”. No refunds either. So for a day of boredom waiting to go on 4 rides for $320... don’t waste your time or money.

Visited Movieworld on December 5th with my kids aged 7 & 4. Was very disappointed that my 4 year old wasn't allowed to enjoy the majority of the kids rides (110cm) as she missed the height requirement by 2 centimetres. And what was worse was there were some kids who were much shorter but got to enjoy the rides. Basically the rides staff were pretty engrossed in their own conversations and were not checking the kids heights properly, by using the height pole while slanted and not uoright. The whole was basically spent taking pictures and walking around, watching others enjoying the rides. And the costumed characters. Movieworld rakes in thousands of dollars everyday but their superheroes & villains had costumes that looked worse that low budget cosplayers. You could pump in some budget to make your characters look abit more realistic that wearing foam padded costumes. All in all, I give Movieworld a 4 out of 10 score. Hope the management reads this and makes some changes so paying guests get to really enjoy their trip.

This theme park has room for improvement. I find it mind blowing that the rides do not open until half an hour after the park opens. This I can assume, given what we saw, is due to the rides being tested in that period. Surely it makes better sense to test the rides before opening to the public. This cause huge queues and when it is a hot muggy day this does not set a good tone for the rest of the days enjoyment. We purchased all day refill drinks and on the second day we payed for another day only to find the refill stations closed and no ice available. Staff are not particularly friendly which is disappointing given the number of families that must pass through the gates yearly. We have been fortunate enough to have visited Disneyland and although Movie World is small there is no comparison in the way the staff act, queues flow and the overall atmosphere. On a positive note the new hyper coaster is amazing and well worth a visit.
