The tour was secheduled in the 8.30am. however, some of the important venue, such as the beer hall where hitler gave his speech was not opened at the tome of tour. I would suggest to cabcel that 8.30am time slot for this tour.

Conflicting communication between Viator, Tour Operator and Tour Guide led to me missing the tour. Finger pointing between the three ensued and my refund was denied. This was an expensive tour and I had booked five others in different countries. Lesson learned - Viator is just the ticket broker and the Tour Operator calls the shots. Don’t expect any help from Viator if there is conflicting information as they do not keep in contact with the Tour Operator. On another Viator tour the hotel pickup point changed and I called Viator. Viator printed the final ticket with original hotel. I had to call the Tour Operator myself to ensure that the hotel pickup was correct. What’s the value of working with Viator? I should have just booked the tour directly with the Tour Operator.

We booked this tour to learn about Hitler’s presence in Munich. We met Ozzie at the meeting location. And he preceded to tell us his tour was a 5 hour city tour that included Hitler and the Third Reich and would end at the Documents Center. I showed him the Viator booking description that described the tour we booked and that it was supposed to end back at the pickup spot. He said that this wasn’t what he did and proceeded to do the tour his way. We did learn a lot but it was a full 5 hour tour just to the document center. He was very opinionated and tried to connect things to American politics which he simplified too much. After the document center we had to make our way back on our own. I am not sure what would have happened if we had been on a time schedule that didn’t allow us to go beyond the time as stated in the description.

Our time with Ozzie was thoroughly enjoyable and educational. He has a deep knowledge and understanding of the Third Reich era and conveyed the concepts to us in a very refreshing way. He also covered a lot of information about Bavaria and its place in history. This was truly an unforgettable experience!
