Highly recommend this tour. We had so much fun discovering all the beauty Terceira has to offer. Antonio is a great guide - knowledgeable and put together a fantastic island tour. Lunch was wonderful too. Don’t hesitate to book this full day, 4x4 jeep tour. It was the highlight of our Terceira visit!

My boyfriend and I only had 2.5-3 days in Terceira, and this was the perfect way to get a tour of the whole island! Antonio was our guide, he was very knowledgeable, personable, and funny. We saw all the major sights of Terceira and some extra! (because of the vehicle, we got to go on some more rugged paths). The lunch was great as well, traditional Terceria meal in a lovely picnic site. Definitely recommend booking this trip. Thank you!

Antonio brought us to see many of the main Island sights in the Jeep. We took big and small roads and we were a small group, which was nice. It was cloudy and we were not sure we would be able to see the mountaintop view of all the land sections below but Antonio found the perfect window and we had 10 mins of cloud free view. The lunch was delicious and in a very beautiful setting. It was the perfect tour for us and we would recommend it! Antonio and his father were super friendly, funny and knew a lot about the area.

Antonio gave us the best tour we could hope for. No regrets! (Full day custom tour, winter.) He arrived precisely on time. Almost everything he showed us included info we would never known about ourselves. Every place on our "wish list" was covered, plus numerous other places we didn't know about. Antonio's English was perfect, conversation was easy, and the Land Rover was fun. He took some great photos of us. Lunch was an unbelievable private cookout. Great intro to the island.

I had a fantastic Jeep Tour Day with Antonio from Pro Island Tour. I asked Antonio to take me to places I couldn't go in the rental car as well as the Serra do Cume viewpoint, the Gruta do Natal, the Algar do Carvão, and the interesting geology of the island. He was eager to share interesting information about Terceira, and his guided tours of the Gruta do Natal, and the Algar do Carvão were excellent. The tour with Pro Island Tour was money well spent, and I really liked my guide. Serra do Cume was very cloudy and windy when he took me but still spectacular in this experience. I was able to return on my own the next day, and it was clear. Although it was cloudy and windy, it was a very memorable highlight of my trip.

Pro Island Tour (proislandtour.pt) was fantastic! We took the full day In and Around Terceira Island 4x4 tour. Antonio Camara knew every back road and every byway on the island, as well as their importance and where they were leading. We got to see so many of the beauties of the island that we never would have seen on our own. Antonio told several interesting stories and made the day go by swiftly. Lunch was wonderful in a beautiful location. We even had a couple food challenges that Antonio fully rose to the occasion and met. An extra bonus was that the tour was engaging, both for the 70 year old parents and their 30+ year old daughter. We could not recommend this tour more strongly.

Went on two trips in the end. Round island, taking in the beautiful scenery and being given a thorough, informative and excellent commentary by our guide, Rui. We came back and did the tour to the volcanic caves, including Algar do Carvão. Truly spectacular. Rui is an asset to you, we really enjoyed our time on your beautiful island

This is one of two trips I booked with them. Antonio and his entire staff (including his other driver/guide Rui) were fun, professional, and thorough in every respect. We booked two full days with them, and it was 1000% worth it. The second day was the Mud Bog adventure (which we did first). Between the two days, we not only saw all the major points of interest outside of the towns of Angra and Praia (which we explored by foot on our own — however he does go to the Miradouros in Praia and at a month Brasíl in Angra) that we were excited about PLUS a number of places we would have never heard about or found on our own. After speaking to a friend of mine who grew up here and still has most of her family on the island, she confirmed that we could not have done it better. One thing that cannot be overlooked here, too, was the amazing lunch we had on both days. His food is all homemade and amazing. I fancy myself a cook, and so there was a lot to love here. I also think his Alcatra is the best I’ve had here. Nothing was rushed,everything was friendly, and honestly he could probably charge double for the services provided. Since we booked the two day trips, we also contracted Antoinio for airport pick-up and drop-off, and he keeps track of your flight info and will be waiting for you at the airport with a sign right as you exit customs. He also makes sure that you keep his card in the event you need to call him for literally anything during your stay. You can easily see when someone loves and takes pride in their work and home — and this is what it looks like. If I am not making this clear enough, we were completely satisfied and think you should book right now.
