What a time we had with Juan and all he showed us. It was such a fun time and knowledgeable experience. Will be doing it again for sure on my next time to Port Douglas.

Superb tour of Daintree and surroundings. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and patient, particularly with two young children in the group. The lunch he provided, including fresh fruits purchased during the tour, was delicious.

Our family had a full day tour with Aaron and it was a highlight of our holiday in Australia. I could not recommend this tour highly enough, we can't stop telling friends/ family about the day. Brilliant!

Aaron was a wonderful guide yesterday. As a true local, he showed us the medicinal properties of green ants and various leaves, tree sap, flowers, and beans we collected on a beach, as well as creating 4 colors of ochre using rocks he found on the beach to create pigments used in traditional Aboriginal body painting, and demonstrating on a volunteer from our group. He picked up a wide variety of local fruits, which he cut and served us after lunch. He had many stories about his own family based in the area and he was extremely attentive to all of our needs. The only issues was mine alone: the heat and humidity was nearly unbearable for me, so I sat in the cool water of the Mossman Gorge while the rest of the group did a 90 minute circuit hike in the rainforest. It was exactly right, given my history of near heat stroke, and kept me from dragging the group down, so it was a win win. But I learned SO much about the rainforest. It was an easy, relaxed, low key day, and I even met a couple who live 15 minutes from me in Maryland, USA!

I absolutely love the experience. It was so fun to look about their culture and different medicines by trees. I also loved seeing them amazing waterfalls and rainforest. It was super beautiful and eye-opening. Our two tour guides, Uncle Aaron and Kadesha are very friendly and love to start a conversation with you. Also at lunchtime you get to taste amazing fruits that you probably never seen before. I 10000000% recommend totally worth it. Mia, age 13

We highly recommend this day trip! Wonderful and informative and a very original experience. We were looked after by Aaron and he put his heart and soul into the day . We never felt rushed and we finished over an hour after the advertised time and had plenty of time to experience the different places visited. We joined a group of three other couples so a nice small group . Many thanks to Aaron for a great experience Mary and Jim

Our day with Juan was filled with learning about his culture and the bounty of the rainforest and experiencing adventurous things - from his family history & traditions to to spearfishing our lunch! Truly a wonderful day and the highlight of our 3 weeks in Australia.

Aaron was our guide, and we could not have been happier. He was extremely knowledgeable, and catered to the entire groups needs and wants. He was extra kind to make sure our 7 year old girl had a great time. I would highly recommend Walkabout over some of the larger tour operators. We had a small group, and what felt like a personalized experience. We ran into some other groups from other companies - groups that were way too large. And their guides asked Aaron for help and advice, clearly he has a very good reputation. The tour was worth every dollar!

Sharing information with the guide. Very personable and knowledgeable. Trip was at a very good pace for the day. Not too rapid and not to slow.

We did this Walkabout Cultural tour yesterday, and it was terrific. We were originally supposed to be on the north rainforest tour with the same company, but that area is inaccessible due to the recent cyclone. Aaron was our indigenous guide, and he shared so much knowledge about the wildlife, vegetation, and indigenous culture and practices of people in the area. We gathered fruit from trees, and he showed us what various berries and leaves are traditionally used for. We later ate the fruit as part of our lunch, and it was the tastiest fruit any of us had ever eaten. We had fresh mangos, guavas, passion fruit, and a few other fruits I had never seen before. We also went to an area with a small waterfall to cool off for a while. Those of us who didn't swim sat on rocks with our feet in the cool water. Then we moved on to spear throwing on the beach, which was a fun group activity. We also searched for Mo, the giant croc, around the Daintree, but we didn't see him. If you're doing this tour in January, the height of the summer, be aware it's hot and very humid. It was still a unique and wonderful experience, though, and well worth the cost.
