I hadn't been to Wales before so I decided to travel from Kent to Chester and then travelled on minibus with Mountain Goat. I must say that I DO NOT regret paying for the guided tour at all. It allowed me and my teenage son to explore most of Snowdonia, Conwy castle, slate quarry and several other spectacular places in one day. Well worth the price.

Our tour guide Tom was not only full of fascinating information but also an expert driver - easily navigating us through the narrow and winding roads. He gave us plenty of photo stops and time to wander around. The scenery on this trip was spectacular and we loved every minute. It was a wonderful day -thanks!

Great day out, very knowledgeable and friendly driver and tour guide. Good choice of places to stop.

Very impressed that Mountain Goat was the only travel company does not cancel my booking due to not reaching minimum number of people. The tour went ahead although I was the only one booked. Andy was a great tour guide, warm & knowledgeable. I enjoyed the tour despite the weather wasn’t that good. Andy also volunteered to dropped me off at my Liverpool accommodation-saved me a train trip from Chester😄

Our guide Andy-- super knowledgeable, funny, courteous--provided our best day in Wales! Gave us an outline of the day so we knew what to expect, allowed us a bit of time to explore on our own in Conwy and another location, and was always attentive to the needs of the group. There were six people and he was terrific. Mountain Goat is a very professional operation and we will use again.

We had an absolutely fantastic tour of North Wales from Chester with our host, Andy from Mountain Goat Tours on August 31. Andy is an amazing story teller and guide who toured us through Llandodon, The Great Orm, Betwyn -y- coed, Snowdonia, Conwy Castle, etc. on a 8.5 hour tour of North Wales from Chester. He is warm, personable, professional and very accommodating. We will ask for Andy again when we are doing tours of N. Wales, the Yorkshire Dales and other local areas in the future.

We were met promptly by host Mike. He outlined the day and how it could be adapted to fit out interests and the weather. We had a lovely stop at Llandudno a walk along the pier, spotting a seal, watching yachts and views. Then around The Great Orm with lots of history notes from MIke,, a stop for coffee, cake and a brief blow in the wind. Then a brave attempt to view Snowdon in the clouds and mist and onto Betws-y-Coed for some lunch and a look at the shops followed by a further explore of Snowdon including a beautiful waterfall stop. Then because we were into history a trip on to Caernarvon for a quick look at the imposing castle. Onwards along the Menai strait to Anglesey for stops at Llanfairpg for a classic photo op and onto the pretty Beaumaris Castle via views of the Suspension Bridge. Back into the mountains for an incredible view down a narrow valley to the sea. Lastly Conway for a castle and tea and a possible egret spot. And home after 11.5 great hours While its not a cheap day, its huge value for money, a tour with no worries about driving or parking or finding your way in good relaxed company . Ta Mike

We took the mountain goat tour to north wales and found it to be one of the best tours we have ever taken, one of the main reasons was the driver Andy. He was so knowledgeable about every part of the tour and what he didn't know he took time to find out. The vehicle we traveled in was as clean as you can get, we highly recommend this tour and especially if you have Andy as your driver
