My family had an amazing day on the water with the WA team. Danny our guide took great care of us on and off the water. We did the combo trip and it was perfect for our family. This was the highlight if our vacation!

We had a wonderfully well organized, well led and exhilarating rafting trip. Wetsuits and water shoes available to rent- highly recommend while navigating the snow melt- filled water. Justin was our guide and kept us safe and kept us laughing throughout the trip down the river. The number and variety of rapids were incredible as was the weather. The staff took candid pictures of our raft on the way through the rapids and the package of photos was very affordable - and so many good pics of us laughing, getting soaked and generally having a fantastic time!will definitely be back!

My daughter and I took a wild ride with Wilderness Aware on June 17. Gato was our guide along with some others to help provide extra power and safety. The river was really big and fast. We had some rafting experience so we had an idea of what to expect but this was extra "spicy" with the huge amount of water and the high speed of the river. Gato was a total pro and it was really impressive how she directed us around the numbers and the narrows. The full day trip was the way to go for full adventure and the workout was real. The lunch was a really nice bonus too.

Danny and Gatlin were the best guides I have ever had. This marked my fifteenth rafting trip and they both raised the bar. The whole company sets a standard that is untouched in the industry.

Amazing trip!!! We did the half day of Numbers. Gato was our guide - she was fantastic!!! We felt very safe with her guidance and the entire experience was so fun!!! From getting signed in and getting fitted for gear, to the safety briefing, to learning the paddle commands, Gato and the crew made every step of the process fun! The river was gorgeous and the rapids were so exciting!!! Gato’s expertise and gentle commands - just so smooth she made it seem like we were experts ourselves! I HIGHLY recommend Wilderness Aware Rafting! Everyone we encountered was top notch. Shout out to Thad, too, for being our spotter and getting us all where we needed to be. Can’t wait to come back!

Our guide Tony was excellent and pro on the water. The company was very professional and every staff member was super friendly. Would recommend this company over all the others, and we will be back again next summer.

From the conversation while making the reservation (I really appreciated that you couldn't simply make the reservation on-line--my conversation with Jody was helpful and she was professional and friendly), to the check-in, to the trip itself, we could not have asked for a better experience. Our family had never whitewater rafted, but were sufficiently athletic to adapt quickly to the skills needed to navigate the river without leaving the boat. Michael, our guide, was exceptional, serious about the effort require to navigate the rapids and highly skilled, yet very funny too. We were all sorry the trip ended so soon. One final note: I left my sandals and swimsuit on one of the picnic tables, only discovering this after we'd arrived at a campground an hour away. Jody again answered the phone when I called and made sure that I could retrieve these items when we passed back through Buena Vista a few days later. Keep up the great work!

A great trip on a fun challenging section (the numbers). Lana, our guide, was great. A guide needs some serious skill to run this section, and the guides for the two rafts rocked it.

Even though I've kayaked before, Gomez knew I was really nervous about rafting Numbers, to the point I was considering not going in the afternoon, but he did a great job of explaining everything thoroughly while we were on Brown in the morning. He was a wealth of information in many regards which totally eliminated all my fears. I knew I was in good hands! Then when we were on Numbers, again, he was explaining every detail as we went along so we knew what to expect with every rapid. As it turned out, I started to slip out of the raft on one of the rapids, but Gomez was on it and he immediately pulled me in! I didn't even get wet! It was a blast and I was REALLY happy I'd stayed on for Numbers. It was an excellent, fun-filled experience I'll never forget!! My son and I will definitely go back.
