During the tour, life jackets will be provided for your safety. All fees and taxes are included in the package. However, please note that pick-up services, alcoholic beverages, and snacks are not included. It is recommended to arrange your own transportation to the starting point, either by private car (parked in the covered car park inside the Hotel) or by taking the SAM bus 113 towards Ponta de São Lourenço and staying at the main entrance of Hotel Quinta do Lorde. The boats depart from Marina's pontoon D or E.

We saw the beautiful creatures, it was hot, so have sunscreen and kinda chilly when you got back. Fernanda was awesome, told us a lot of things and she was very kind. PS some people got sea sick eventho they thought they won't. So you might wanna take a pill before. 10/10

Fantastic experience! We took the tour from Canical rather than Funchal as we were told the chances of seeing whales or dolphins was higher. We had a lovely marine biologist who took us through what to expect on the boat and from the experience, explaining the different species of whales / dolphins we could expect to see. The tour in itself was great as we went quite far into the water to increase our chances to see an animal and we were thrilled and lucky to see many sperm whales. Would definitely recommend as it is a great and very personal experience as only 12-14 people are allowed on that one boat. You have to get lucky with such experiences, but it is worth the risk seeing these magnificent animals in their habitats, unbothered!

Amazing day out in the sun, the experienced marine biologist guide made every effort to find marine wildlife for us to see. (We saw some of the local pilot whales!!)

We had a great time. Crew was very friendly and professional. Our guide (a marine biologist) was very knowledgeable. We found a big group of pilot Whale and spent around 20-25 minutes with them. It was amazing. Unfortunately we didn`t see the other common species (common dolphin or/painted dolphin).

We went on a whale watching tour, paid 80€ to see nothing, not even 1 fish Spent 2 hours waiting for tour and 3 hours on a boat just to be splashed with water Nothing else After tour we asked for a refund but instead we were offered vaucher for one free tour and the closest one was in 3 days We explained to them that we are going home next day just to be told they cant do nothing about it… Nobody told us about their “no refund policy” and that there is posibility of seeing nothing So at the end just one really bad experience!

From all the touristic boat trips leaving from Funchal in large crowded boats, this one got our attention as we are a couple of marine biologists and the technical biological details in the description stood out. Definitely picked the right one as the expert team in the boat guided us in a lovely day out. Congrats to Ana on her first day in the new job too. Highly recommend it!

The boat trip was a great experience with Ines and Philip as our guides! We had beautiful weather and calm sea, and managed to see sooo many pilot whales. Loved it!

We had a wonderful experience, amidst the beautiful creatures that live in the Madeiran seas. Especially our encounter with the pilot whales was one to remember. Iñes is a very knowledgeable guide who communicates very well. She was able to answer all our questions (and we asked a lot). Also, she and the skipper were very careful not to disturb the animals. Rather than chasing them, they let the animals come to us in their own time. I would gladly recommend this tour.

We really enjoyed the whale watching tour! Even the service prior to the tour was outstanding with a really personal note! The team was highly knowledgeable and gave us many insights on the wildlife! We saw many different species and we were even lucky enough to see sperm whales jumping out of the water. As this happened at the end, the team even extended the tour so we could see them close and take some amazing pictures. Thank you to the entire team for this amazing experience, we really enjoyed it and can highly recommend everyone to book the tour with them.
