What a lovely escape from bustling Rome! Being with Alexandra was like spending the day with a trusted, thoughtful, smart and lovely friend. Gorgeous countryside, olive groves, vineyards, villas and hill towns. All of our tours with Liv during our week in Rome were excellent and we’ll use them next time as well.

Brando went above and beyond to ensure our family had the best time during our tour of the Bomarzo Monster Garden and Orvietto. He was on time, friendly and had such a wealth of knowledge at each location. He really helped put our anxieties at ease and made us feel at home in each location. In addition to being our tour guide, he was a great photographer, acquiescing to our frequent photo requests and questions. He was very patient with my parents, who moved slowly and needed assistance from time to time. Our driver was also excellent. He mostly operated quietly in the background, but was also very friendly and made us feel safe when driving (not something I can say of every driver we had in Rome). The car was spacious, clean and came with light refreshments (water, candy, etc). At the end of our tour, Brando also helped us navigate the intimidating Termini train station in Rome, which was a complete godsend! I don’t believe we would have made our train to Florence if it wasn’t for his generous help. He truly went above and beyond to make our visit smooth, even after the tour ended. I would recommend this tour (and Brando, specifically) to anyone looking to book an excursion in our around Rome. It was the highlight of our Rome visit!

Getting out of the city was a special treat and while it was brief, the entire day was magical, from the underground caves in Orvieto to the agriturismo lunch to the walk up to Bagnoregio. Superb!! We enjoyed taking a day trip from Rome. Our driver arrived on time and was very nice. Unfortunately, the weather was not that great. It was raining and windy, but we tried to make the best of it. We really enjoyed seeing Orvieto. I wished we had more time to see the town and visit the shops. Overall, we were happy we went on the tour and got to see a different part of Italy.

Wife and I were having dinner in Rome and thinking we wanted to get out of Rome to see more of the country. While we sat at dinner my wife wife emailed regarding this tour and the response was immediate. We booked the tour before our meal was over and the driver picked us up at our hotel the next morning. Car was a Mercedes very comfortable for our drive to the country side. Our driver was pleasant, professional, well informed, and spoke English very well. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip and only wish we had more time to explore Orivieto as it was so interesting. We toured the caves under the city, the Duomo (which was a Papal seat back in the day), and meandered the streets of this lovely, ancient city which dates to the Etruscan era. Between Orivieto and Bagnoregio our driver took us to a lunch spot that could not have been more beautiful and relaxing. It is a yoga center between the two sites where we were served a multi course lunch of wonderful food, much of which was sourced from their gardens under a veranda at a private table. People were lovely, site was phenomenal I could feel the stress melt away; we want to return. Bagnoregio was pretty remarkable, long walk across a restored bridge to this city that is built on a hilltop inaccessible except for the bridge. Remarkable when you consider how old it is that they could have engineered and built this city. Comfortable drive back to Rome after a tiring, educational day trip exploring outside of Rome. We so thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the level of service that we booked several other tours through them. I recommend LivItaly wholeheartedly and without reservation.

After two days of walking around Rome looking for ourselves it was so refreshing to connect with the private tour. Patrizia and Maxa (sorry if I got your name spelled wrong) were the ultimate hosts, driving was excellent, efficient, comfortable and safe the whole time. Orvieto is a beautiful small town and the cave tour is amazing. Seeing Civita di Bagnoregio is incredible. It is definitely woth the trip. The views are breathtaking. The food at the restaurant was the best we had in Italy! Our driver was Antonio. He was great. Informative and very helpful. We strongly recommend this as a day trip outside of Rome. The Italian countyside is beautiful and shows a whole other side of Italy.
