Castelo de Ourem
The place where the Castle of Ourém now stands was inhabited since prehistoric times. Its manor house, built by the 4th Count of Ourém, D. Afonso, in the 14th century, is a unique example in Portugal, a symbol of military and economic wealth.
Aqueduto dos Pegoes
In order to supply water to the Convent of Christ ,the Aqueduct of Pegões was one of the main public works built in the 17th century in Portugal. It is around 6-km long and constituted by 180 arches.
