A perfect day in Paris to ramble through the Pete LaChaise Cemetary. Alain did an excellent job giving us the history of the Cemetary and telling stories about the many “residents.” Merci!

English speaking? I don’t think so. Really difficult to understand. Nice guy but not dynamic —a lot of quiet space where we could have been given lots of info. Of the six walking tours we took in our three country tour this was our only disappointment. Sorry.

The cemetery is huge and I'm really glad we booked a guided tour because without our guide, Alain, we would have walked past so many interesting graves! Alain was knowledgeable, kind, and funny. He made our visit to the cemetery so much better and I feel like there's no way we could have learned that much on our own! I highly recommend this tour!

Alain met us on time and he provided great information! We saw all the grave sites we wanted and some that Alain thought we would enjoy. He provided great historical info about Paris and the graves we visited. He even provided pictures! We saw other tourists wandering around with cemetery maps looking very confused! Hiring a guide was well worth it! He knew all the shortcuts on the 480 acres and we covered lots of ground in 2 hours. Highly recommend! Sculptures were incredible as well!

Our guide, Alain, was excellent--very knowledgeable, willing to look up something he didn't know, funny, and kind. We saw all the tombs we had hoped to see, learned about people we knew nothing about, and even though it was raining off and on, we very much enjoyed the tour Alain gave us. What a difference he made--earlier in our visit to Paris we had attempted to tour the Montmartre cemetery on our own which resulted in seeing a few of the tombs we wanted to see plus a lot of frustrating searching for tombs we never found. We would certainly use Nekovisit and hope for Alain next time. Thanks!

We really enjoyed our trip to Pere Lachaise cemetery. At the last minute we decided to take a guide and it was the best decision! Our guide, Alain, was really excellent. He first asked us which graves we were specifically interested in seeing (without him we would still be there wandering around with a map in our hands!) and then he included other sites he thought we would enjoy or which would be of interest to us. We had a very leisurely stroll and really enjoyed the anecdotes and stories Alain told us. There was just the right amount of information - we were not overwhelmed and the pace was just perfect for us. Some think that Pere Lachaise is creepy - it is not! It is really a repository of history and absolutely fascinating. We highly recommend taking a guide and Alain, if you can get him!

Very long but interesting tour. Was a little disappointed as to paying for the ENGLISH speaking tour and there were French, Italian also on our tour so I felt he spent way more time explaining things to them and then translating only parts to us.

We were a small group that got extra attention from a great guide. The cemetery is beautiful. Great views of the city and lots of hills/trees. Large area to cover. Our guide was a fact filled machine and began by asking us what graves we were most interested in for the tour, otherwise it would have taken us forever to locate everything on our own. Really interesting stories. Well worth the time/money.

I brought a list of seven gravestones I particularly wanted to see.
Alain, my guide, knew where to find all my choices. As well he showed many other famous and not so famous but very interesting graves.
Pete Lachaise Cemetery is so huge that an informative guide is the best way to really see it.

It was really nice tour and the tour guide was very gentle and helpful. He tried to give information as much as he can.
