It was humbling to see the amount of effort put into moving the remains of so many people. Given the circumstances, still impressive. Recommend

I don't know if this was really a "skip the line" tour, but we did get in under 10 minutes (in the evening). It was a nice tour with the audio. Glad we did this!

Heidi_G

It’s a long way down and a long way back up, but it’s worth every minute. Such an interesting story and such an interesting and creative solution to a problem. Definitely use the audio tour when you go through.

The Audio tour was brilliant, and gave us so much of the history behind the catacombs. We thoroughly enjoyed it

Unfortunately I am not able to properly rate this excursion as there were worker strikes the day we were meant to go so the catacombs were closed. I sent in an email for reimbursement just waiting to hear back on a response for that so I wanted to be sure to review as well that we were not able to go inside. Not looking for this to be posted just wanted to annotate that it was closed the day we were meant to go. Also for future booking cases in case this happens again I don't know if there is a way to warn guest because there was a group of people outside - I noticed that I didn't have delivery of tickets but no email was sent to me I am sure this was because of the last minute closure.

Great experience. Make sure Viator gets you your tickets! So sad but somehow extraordinary and connects you to your humanity.

The most memorable was, that after having books this experience nearly 5 months in advance, the site was closed due to a strike. No one from the local tour guide was there to meet us to explain and no one reached out to keep us from wasting our time!

The perfect way to do the Catacombs! Was perfect for our family to go at our own pace. Had a question about getting our tickets a few days prior & the team was responsive & tickets came through just as told. We enjoyed it!

No experience at all! We waited all day to go to the catacombs, traveled a long way to get there only to see the sign on the door stating it was closed due to a workers strike! Had we known we would have scheduled something else. No notification given. Very disappointed

Cheryl_M

We did not get to go to the Catacombs, because the workers were on strike. We weren’t given notice that it was not going to happen, which was super disappointing. We could have visited other things such as Versailles, but instead we waited in an entire afternoon. The notice says that we will be getting reimbursed. The has yet to happen.
