Firstly, Paulo, our tour guide was absolutely fantastic and really made the experience special. He was very polite and extremely knowledgeable. The boat was nice, new and comfortable. The supplied binoculars were a good brand and worked very well. We were actually out for closer to 1hr20mins. Would recommend and we would do it again when visiting Portugal again

We saw wagtails!!! It was a very challenging day to be out on the water and our guide handeled it like a champ! We saw a lot of birds.

I like our guide Pedro and his enthusiasm to show us as many as possible species, content of the excursion, boat was very comfortable, also binoculars were good. We met 13 different species (some i have been watched first in my life). We were also lucky to see babies of kentish plovers. As a professional biologist i enjoyed much the excursion. I gave 4/5 points only because the excursion was at the high tide and the excursion description did not say that the number of species depends on this.

This was an amazing trip. The boat was comfortable and easily accessible for my 86-year old father. With a maximum of 11 on board (there were only 7 on our trip), there was plenty of room. Our guide Andre was friendly and knowledgeable, taking time to explain what we were seeing and answering any questions. We all loved the stop at the island where we were able to get off the boat and take pictures, with my 8-year old son taking the opportunity to go for a paddle. This is a great trip for all ages and it was wonderful to see another part of Portugal.

Andre was the guide on our March 4th guided tour. He was extremely personable and pointed out 20+ bird species. He also shared interesting facts about the oyster farms and the Seahorse Research facility. I would highly recommend Andre and this tour company!

Kathryn_F

I booked this tour not as a bird enthusiast but looking for a calm, easy going and comfortable tour through the Ria Formosa. André was our guide, a marine biologist, and he was very informative and educational- binoculars and bird spotting cards were available and made the trip a lot of fun!

Jean_M

Saw 8 new life birds. The western marsh harrier and the spoonbills were exciting finds for me. And the Flamingos were so beautiful in flight.

DavidS_C

Wonderful tour with a knowledgeable guide. Many varieties of sea birds including flamingos, whimbrels, she'll ducks and oyster catchers. Great trip!

Pedro's enthusiasm, authenticity and knowledge of the national park's ecology shone through. He was willing to adapt the trip to suit circumstances, and to extend it a little to catch the sunset.

Andre was great. We enjoyed learning about the birds and the park! We appreciate all that is being done to preserve the environment. Thank you.
