USS Arizona Memorial

The USS Arizona Memorial, at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii, marks the resting place of 1,102 of the 1,177 sailors and Marines killed on USS Arizona during the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 and commemorates the events of that day. If tickets to the Navy boat launch tour out to the Arizona Memorial are available by the National Park on the day of your tour they will be provided. Otherwise, the Arizona Memorial can be seen from the shoreline at the Visitor Center.

USS Missouri (BB-63) was the last battleship commissioned by the United States and is best remembered as the site of the surrender of the Empire of Japan, which ended World War II.

USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park

USS Bowfin (SS-287) is a fleet attack submarine that fought in the Pacific during WWII, and helped to make famous the term, “Silent Service.” Bowfin was launched on 7 December 1942, exactly one year after the attack on Pearl Harbor. She was nicknamed the Pearl Harbor Avenger, so it is fitting that her permanent home is at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

This tour does not operate on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.
On occasion and due to external factors outside of our control (including inclement weather, closure of the Memorial by the National Park Service and/or shortages of boat launch tickets), there is the possibility of not being able to visit the Arizona Memorial during your visit. You will still be able to visit the many exhibits at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center and view the Arizona Memorial from the shoreline.
Shirt and shoes are required to board the Arizona Memorial, swimsuits are not permitted. Strollers are not permitted in the theater or shuttle boats.
NO BAG POLICY: The US Department of the Interior has declared a “no bags” policy at Pearl Harbor. Passengers may not carry any concealing items including purses, handbags, backpacks, diaper bags, etc. Small cameras are permitted but must not be in a bag. No items are allowed to be left on your tour vehicle. When going over to Ford Island to visit the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum and/or the Battleship Missouri, guests are required to carry government issued photo identification and NO BAGS are allowed on the vehicle. Ford Island is an active military base and guests may be asked by security personnel at any time for their identification to ensure a safe environment for all. Bag storage is available at the entrance of the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center for a fee per bag. It is recommended to bring on tour only vital items like your identification and wallet as long as these items fit in your pockets.

I'm from the Big Island. Our guide was from Maui. So I found his commentary about Hawaii to be spot on. He gave very detailed info about current events in our state, including funny comments about our money pit railway. He even mentioned that Hawaii was once an independent country which I liked very much.

Excellent and very comprehensive tour! Witnessing oil seeping to the surface on the Arizona Memorial was chilling. Seeing the Mighty USS Missouri where the war ended was an absolute blast, including a self-guided tour through the bowels of the ship. The Aircraft Museum and Submarine Museums were amazing as well. So much information for one day! Very tasty lunch in air conditioning. Makes me so grateful to be an American and forever indebted to the unimaginably brave serviceman who enlisted to free the world from evil’s clutches.

This tour was very informative and we learned a lot about the attacks on Pearl Harbor. Bus picks up right outside hotel. It was especially nice to have our tickets purchased ahead of time so that we didn’t have to wait in line. Highly recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time because it gets busy. Lunch was good, with many options to pick from. Highly recommend for anyone traveling here!

The full day Pearl Harbor Tour was a moving and interesting experience. This is one of the tours we were most looking forward to on our trip and it didn’t disappoint. From the shrine at the USS Arizona to the USS Missouri Battleship tour to the Aviation Museum - we learned so much and gained an even greater appreciation for our men and women in uniform. Our tour bus driver, Frank, also shared a number of interesting facts and kept us all on schedule throughout the day! We highly recommend this tour!

this tour was absolutely one of our highlights of our trip to hawaii. missouri was just fantastic, amazing how the crew kept this old girl in great shape and gave a great guided tour of her history. fantastic. then to the air museum and lunch.. lunch was ok, but surrounded by all this history and being part of it, eating was not really memorable. the arizona memorial was as per anticipated. very surreal. the bow fin sub was a must to go through. can not even imagine how these brave seamen had to endure. we were worried about keeping up with this all day tour, but believe me it is worth it. very highly recommended.

Excellent and cost effective tour in comparison to going alone. We rarely use tours, but in this particular case highly recomendes. Strict military base, much easier access and transit with a tour. Also well timed visit to all four attractions. Well done Polinesian Adventures.
