Evan provided a very personal and informative tour of the region and its vineyards. Evan has a vast knowledge of the local area and producers, and it was obvious he had a very good rapport with the producers that we visited. Evan was flexible and tailored the day to suit my interests. He was very relaxed and easy to converse with - the tour was a highlight of my visit to Alba and Piemonte. I would highly recommend Evan to anyone visiting the region who wants to learn more or just experience the wine and food Piemonte has to offer in a personal way.

Evan is the perfect host! Planned a wine focused tour of Alba/Barolo & Barbaresco. This is the best way to experience the region for wine lovers. Being a fan of Barolo and Barbarescos all my life - I visited Piedmont for the first time in November. We booked our wine tour through our hotel and were lucky enough to get connected with Evan. He has personal relationships with some of the best winemakers in the region and has incredible knowledge of the region, wine and cuisine. Evan is also fluent in Piedmontese Italian dialect and British humor. What else can you ask for. We had an AMAZING time there. My husband and I spent a day with Evan a few years ago and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Piedmont! I have known Evan, the force behind PiemonteMio, for years and can vouch for his knowledge and hands on experience of the wines of Piemonte and beyond. He has extensive contacts both with the big names and smaller artisan winemakers. His understanding of local gastronomy is excellent too, especially within the Slow Food movement. Though English by birth his Italian is first class, both classical and colloquial. PiemonteMio's tours are bespoke, so you will visit the places that interest you, yourself, though guidance and advice is of course freely and expertly available. PiemonteMio is based in the winemaking centre of Alba, easily reached via High speed Rail to Turin from Paris if you don't want to fly. Our last visit was for the Autumn truffle fair in 2019, just before the lockdowns began, but Tripadvisor does not give me the option to note a date earlier than'21

I have been on two separate wine tours with Evan and he and his tours are great! Evan is extremely knowledgeable and professional while also being approachable and affable. I recommend his tours to anyone who is going to the Piemonte and wants to experience the amazing wine and food culture in the Piemonte. Evan's passion and unique insight to the region comes through on every tour. Not to mention that Evan is an easy going, low stress kind of guy that helps adjust any travel anxiety you might be having to a low setting so you can just take in the delicious food and wines!

What a great find! A friend recommended Evan who has many years of experience in the wine world. He met us at our accommodation ( in Cherasco) and took us on a fascinating tour of the Barbaresco and Barolo regions, complete with comparative tastings and a lovely lunch. A great experience for anyone who likes wine or food!
