Let me be honest....I was not a history buff (until now), but my partner Steve is, and so I booked a private, 2-day tour to Omaha/Utah/American Cemetery, and Mont St. Michel. Overlord advised we could personalize our tour any way we wanted! Remy met us at the train station in a spotless, comfortable van (with waters and great lunch recommendations). Remy was incredibly knowledgable regarding D-Day, and was able to answer all of Steve's questions. Remy had maps, photos, narratives of individual soldiers, and made us feel as if we had gone back in time. He gave us time to reflect, and took us by extra sights. We were brought to our hotel, and Remy came in with us to make sure we got checked in. I cannot say enough great things about Remy as a tour guide, ask for him directly!! He is a wonderful storyteller with a photographic memory who has dedicated his craft to providing an amazing experience for his clients. The private tours are not much more money than the group tours, and well worth it. Thank you Overlord and REMY!!!

My family and I attended a full day tour of the Omaha and Utah beaches. We could not have asked for a better experience. Because we had a relatively large group (five of us), we were lucky enough to have our own van with Remy as our driver and guide.
Remy was excellent. Not only does he have an encyclopedic memory, but he is also a great story-teller. Although there was a lot to see and learn, he made each stop interesting. And he also gave us plenty of personal time to reflect as we visited such moving places--especially Omaha Beach and the Normandy American Cemetery.
If you are debating whether to book a tour, whether to do a full-day tour, and/or which company to go with, we highly recommend this full-day tour with OverlordTours. It's a great way to honor those that sacrificed for us, and it is an experience we will not forget.

We did the Omaha and Utah Beach Tour with Adam as our guide and Stephane as our driver. We had a great time and highly recommend this tour. Adam did a great job and was very informative and Stephane safely navigated us to all our destinations. We did this tour over the Band of Brothers Tour because this one seemed to be more of a mix between Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers locations.

We did a full day tour of the American sector with Steven on 7/22. It ended up being 10 hours and he made sure we saw everything that we wanted plus some cool things we didn't know about. He was a great educator and story teller, we were captivated for all 10 hours! Thank you Steven!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our all-day tour of Omaha & Utah beaches today, Monday, April 7, 2025. The tour was very well organized and filled with excellent information. Our tour guide for the day, Loic, did a phenomenal job giving us an overview of each site we stopped at as well as providing interesting antidotes about D-Day occurrences. I highly recommend Overlord tours and Loic as a tour guide. I will always remember this day!

Loic was at the hotel at least 15 minutes before our meeting time. He explained what the day would entail and asked for our preferences. Loic had only been giving tours for a couple of weeks, but you could tell he had done his homework related to D-Day and was very passionate about the events of June 1944. Highly recommend.

This tour changed our lives. You read the books and see the movies but nothing prepares you for the actual location. The beaches, cemetery, and the other in between stops were fantastic ! Jack was a wealth of information and stories. He was very personal and answered all our questions. This is a MUST tour for everyone!!

Did the full day Omaha / Utah Beach Tour (with a number of other stops as well) and I can't say enough great things about it. Had Jack as a tour guide and Stephan as the driver. Total group of 16 and that seems to be on the larger side for them which is nice. Jack was very knowledgeable and had many stories and facts to go with each of the areas he visited. We had many pax on the tour that had very specific questions and he had answers to them all. He had great recommendations for museums to go on our own and helped out in Saint-Mer-Eglise for lunch options since it was a Sunday and many things were closed. Tour was paced nicely with about 30 minutes of time on own in the American Cemetery. I am a history buff and really enjoyed it, but it was a long day. If you're just wanting to catch the highlights, maybe do the half day tour option. Even so, would highly recommend this tour company, Jack and Stephan.

This was an exceptional tour! Highly recommend. Our tour guide was Loic, a young man who demonstrated deep knowledge about DDay and though this tour was for Omaha and Utah beaches, it went well above and beyond this scope. First, Loic was an excellent teacher, who knew how to set context, describe specifics ( with maps), and tell the stories that brought DDay to life. Second, as an overview tour, it provided us exactly what we wanted to understand. We saw the two beaches, visited the American Cemetery, and saw a few churches that are part of the story of DDay. We traveled in the company van the entire day. Loic managed our group masterfully, was kind, attentive to our needs, thoughtful, engaging, and fun. He was easy to talk with and responsive to our seemingly unlimited questions. Book it now! Go with Loic. You’ll be happy you did. Rating? 10/10.

We had a fantastic tour with Louis. We only had one day to experience Normandy and D-Day. We are so happy we booked Overlord Tours and Louis was a big part of that satisfaction. Louis was very knowledgeable about the events of D-Day and expertly walked our group through the history and happenings of each location. Louis encouraged us to ask questions. Louis was an excellent tour guide! It was his first day but you would never guess because he knew his material so well and spoke with great confidence. His English was excellent and so it was easy to understand him. He is friendly and thoughtful and clearly loves his job. He even told me he would research the answer to a question that I had and email me later and he did! I highly recommend this tour.

We really enjoyed our full-day tour. It provided a high-level overview of the D-Day operation, explained what was planned and where things went awry, and had interesting specific details about individual battles, etc. Perfect for those of us with only basic knowledge of events going in. Communication and directions beforehand were clear and easy. Our guide, Louis Dilasser, was excellent. Clear, amusing, regularly checking in with everyone. We also got to see a fair amount of the countryside.
