Antoine was amazing! Well educated, personable. He customized the tour based on our motivations & interests. Doesn't just recite facts. His enthusiasm & knowledge of the subject set him apart from other guides. He's from the area & his love of history is apparent.

Our tour guide "Ben" picked us up at our hotel in Bayeux and the outstanding trip of a lifetime began. Ben was friendly and had an easy going personality, which was a great fit for me and my wife. Ben was extremely knowledgeable of the Normandy area and D-Day events. This trip had been customized by myself through the booking agent for Overlord Tours. Ben was able to show me all the places that I asked to see and more. His passion for Normandy and all aspects of the D-Day events made this tour an absolute joy to be a part of. I can't say enough about Ben helping in anyway he could. On several occasions I asked him for help in translating French so that I could purchase an item at a shop, he didn't hesitate to help. Seeing the Normandy area, D-Day sites and museums had always been a dream that I thought I would never get to fulfill. So thank you Overlord Tours and "Ben" for making it happen.

On this the 80th Anniversary of D-Day, I wanted to take this opportunity to commend our tour guide, Adam. A knowledgeable young man who clearly has studied the battles in depth as he brought history to life as we visited the many sites on the tour. One could sense his love for the subject material and his grasp of battle details. Not only were the major sites included in the tour but I thought the stop at Angoville-au-Plain was a fitting end to an extraordinary day. It was a memorable tour and I would encourage anyone to book this full day tour as it gives a well rounded representation of the events of the D-Day invasion.

Stephen was an excellent guide for my tour to the landing beaches. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the locations we visited. He was also very accommodating and made sure I was back in town with enough time to catch my train home. The tour itself was very thorough and we made it to all the major sites of American involvement in the invasion of Normandy. I would highly recommend booking this tour if you have the chance.

We did the private tour of the American sector plus ride in the WW2 era jeep and it was incredible. Our guide Stephen was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the landings and went above and beyond for us to ensure we had a great time. We really enjoyed how he took us to places that seemed less touristy so we could appreciate the small town feel of the countryside. We can't recommend this tour highly enough - it was the highlight of our 2 weeks in France.

OLIVER was an extremely knowledgeable and professional tour guide. Great personality; got along with everyone in our family (5 total). We had a full day, private tour with group. We highly recommend and would use the tour group again. Oliver gave us so much information about each location, his research and stories were quite impactful. We were also able to spend more/less time at certain locations. Oliver kept us on time, and we thought it was awesome. Thank you Oliver also for the great dinner reservation once we returned to the hotel! 100%! Merci Beaucoup!

The actual tour with Stephen would have been fine had I not become ill by late morning and felt completely uncared for by both Stephen and the driver of the Overlord van. Once I started feeling poorly, my husband told Stephen that I was sick and would just stay in the van during some of the stops. That was fine, but after several hours of just sitting on the bus, I would have expected Stephen to ask if there was anything he could do to help or make me more comfortable. No offer was made to try to get someone to take me back to the hotel in Bayeux. I wasn't even offered water until late in the day when Stephen offered water to everyone on the bus. At each of the stops that were more than a few minutes, the driver simply turned off the vehicle, closed the door, and left the vehicle until it was time for everyone to return. There was no offer to leave the engine running so that I might have ventilation while everyone was gone. Really no offer of anything. To cap it all off, when the tour was over and we all got out of the van, Stephen said goodbye to everyone as they left, and he only told my husband and me that he hoped we enjoyed the day. My husband, who did participate in most of the stops, thought the tour was good, but not great. It was full of facts and dates and maps, but not a whole lot of emotion, and very little to bring the events to life. I know this is a very popular tour, and I'm usually one who can chime in as to how wonderful a tour was, but I really can't recommend this company. They might be fine when all is well, but certainly not when something goes sideways.

Guillaume of OverlordTour was a perfect guide with exceptional insight and knowledge of the area, battles, outcomes..also, great perspective of the locals involvement in the area during the different stages of the occupation. The pace of the tour was nice, keeping our group of 6 interested but not overwhelmed with information. The stop at the American Cemetery was particularly moving. This property, as you would hope, is kept in perfect condition and honors all involved in the conflict. Exceptional. Highly recommend spending the day with Overlord Tours.
