    Excellent driver (Giovanni) and guide (Raphael) Both of these guys were the best! Welcoming, informative and so helpful. Raphael was very witty, lots of information and very entertaining. Nothing but great things to say…now if you could just dial back the sun that would be something! Lol…kidding of course!

    The guide was phenomenal, and really brought the sites to life. I appreciated being able to view these historic locations through the lens of an actual archaeologist.

    The tour itself was excellent. However, the train that was selected by the tour company was delayed and the tour group left without us. The tour company did not provide alternate transportation for us to catch the tour group so we had to pay 75 euro over and the $1800 we paid for the tour to meet them at the first stop. I requested that the tour reimburse us since the delay was completely out of our control and it was their train selection that was late. They completely ignored my request. Buyer beware…

    The tour was great but the lunch stop could have been organized better. When stopped we were given 1 hour but the restaurants were full. We waited 35 minutes then got up and grabbed a quick sandwich that we had to eat while standing in the street. Maybe having a designated space at one restaurant that was scheduled would have worked better.

    Our tour guide was fantastic, so knowledgeable & fun. He took us to his favourites & the most archaeologically important areas. The bus driver was great, we really enjoyed travelling with him. I saw parts of Pompei that I hadn't seen before & I was thrilled to visit Herculaneum. Highly recommended.
