I took the sunset sail and it truly was one of the highlights of my trip to Portugal. I didn’t have high expectations for the cruise, thinking it was going to be touristy and gimmicky. But, it was just the opposite. It was intimate and delightful. The sailboat was perhaps 15-20 feet, maybe 8-10 people were on board. The weather was warm and the river calm. The crew of two were friendly, capable and engaging. Wine flowed freely throughout our 2-hour sail. The relaxing atmosphere encouraged passengers to get to know their fellow travelers. Being on the water at sunset in such an intimate setting is a memory that will always remind me of Lisbon.
