Your Itinerary

Azar Indulgences

We'll walk down through the funky Portland West End and stop at Azar Indulgences, where owner Christine Azar has designed her ideal combination of both handcrafted Belgian-style chocolates from her family's company in Lebanon, and wine carefully selected from both local and international winemakers. Azar's one-of-a-kind chocolates are made in a family tradition going back over a century; we'll taste a selection of our favorite of these chocolates (although to be honest it's so hard to pick!) and wine, as well.

So informative, relaxed paced, coffee and chocolate were amazing. Not too strenuous. Love that the focus was local small businesses

such a great tour for a chilly day! the chocolate stops were unusual and sooo good, very small business focused; I felt like I was really exploring the heart of downtown Portland’s business culture as well as learning a lot about the city and eating and drinking delicious things!

Amazing waking your, tasting so many unique things!!! We started with some of the most incredible chocolate I’ve ever tasted with fantastic stories about where they come from. Next was a stroll through beautiful parks and saw murals and public art. We tasted delicious drinks at a tucked away Japanese style coffee/tea house. After a nice walk through the heart of downtown, we stopped at a coffee shop in the Pearl District, with divine candy and chocolate, and we finished at a picturesque coffee shop on a cool warehouse street in the Pearl district, where I enjoyed a delicious decaf latte. Amazing experience and such a great value!!

The chocolate and coffee walking tour was great! We sampled delicious, locally roasted coffees and some incredible chocolates. Azar’s and Roste were my favorite stops. And, it was a glorious fall afternoon to stroll through Portland.

Really enjoyed hearing the store owner’s stories and learning about chocolate (and coffee). Carie is an excellent guide and showed us some of what makes Portland unique. I think you will enjoy this small highly personalized tour.

Nice tour. Guide was very knowledgeable, chocolate tasting at Azar was excellent for the chocolate lover. Teas and coffee at the local shops were also very good. We enjoyed ourselves.

Great tour guide, very knowledgeable and personable. Carrie explained a lot of Portland history outside of just chocolate and coffee, we had a great time.

Our tour guide, Nancy, was so kind and full of information. She took us to the most incredible local chocolate and coffee shops. The tour was very customizable which I loved. We had the flexibility to order coffee/tea drinks of our choice. At the chocolate shops we were able to say we prefer dark chocolate and they customized the chocolate that was given to primarily dark. They were also able to do dairy free vegan chocolate as well. Nancy was also such a wealth of information and gave us so many recommendations for restaurants, shops and great places around Portland. I can’t recommend this tour enough!

Got to experience places and flavors that we never would have known about. Our guide was an expert not only in chocolate and coffee bit also on the city of Portland. We learned so much

The chocolates we tasted at Azar Indulgences we’re pretty good, although I was not a big fun of the chocolate drink (too rich and thick). We all wished we tasted more chocolates instead of drinks in the other places we visited. The last stop, a supermarket with one aisle devoted to chocolates was a total waste of time. The tour guide old have just given us the name and address of the shop instead of walking there in the summer heat. To improve this tour, have more chocolate shops like Azar.
