Best experience of Italy. Genny and Emily and mama Angelo were so hospitable. The food was the best we had tasted in Italy and we took with us core memories to share forever. Incredible! It was a taste of local life and cooking with fresh garden ingredients. Would do this again and again. Best 3 hours of the entire trip.

First, Emily and her entire family were warm and as welcome as you could ask for. The made us feel welcome from the start. Learning how to make pasta and tiramisu was both fun and helpful. We laughed and had a great time. We also learned a lot about her family and life experiences of several generations. We also made two new friends from the Netherlands. We HIGHLY recommend this tour for anyone looking to learn about cooking and having a wonderful time.

This was hands down the best thing we did in Italy. Emily reached out to us the night before to confirm meeting time and pick up. We mentioned we were walking (didn’t realize it was literally 2,000 steps) and she quickly helped us with a bus route and getting there without walking. Once we arrived, Genny greeted us at the train station and we walked about 5 minutes to their beautiful family home. The home overlooks the water and is simply magical. We made tiramisu, ravioli, and tagliatele, while sipping espresso and then bubbly. While the cooking part was fun, and the main reason we signed up, we ended up falling in love with this family and their stories. We learned so much about the history of the town, how they survived Covid, the legends of the area (including the islands), their family history, how they grow their food, how they shop for their food, what things go into their food, and so much more. Emily, Genny, and Mama, opened up their homes and hearts to us. They shared so much of themselves with us and it was easily the best thing we’ve experienced in Italy. Sure, you can do the other cooking classes on Tik tok with the singing and dancing and craziness, but it you want real, authentic, family style cooking and eating, this is the one for you. Also, the food was absolutely amazing. 💛 We love and are so thankful for Genny, Emily, and Mama. P.S. Be sure to ask about the ceramic roosters…and then go get yourself one :)

This was a fabulous cooking class! I love how the whole family pitches in to run this class in a fun and efficient way! It was hands on and I really learned how to make gnocchi and ravioli. Highly recommend!!

Truly an authentic experience, in the hills above Positano. As the class begins you learn about the raw ingredients and importance of each, our host weaves into the class the history of the family and the grandmother, the patriarch who purchased the land for 3 euros. And so begins the class, the mother, father and brother all ensuring that everything required is ready as you become immersed in the art of preparing raviolis, tagliatelle and tiramisu. All from scratch ingredients, only the purest ingredients, cheeses made earlier in the day (never a day old). You learn how to select the purest olive oil, now I know…. I enthusiastically encourage you to experience a cooking class like none other that are available. I can share this was the highlight of our trip through the amalfi coast. Ciao Bill Brown and Laurel Davis

Emily and her family are amazing. Our family had the most fantastic evening, learning everything pasta - must do!

Emily, Genny and their family were very sweet and welcoming into their home. Emily shared stories of their family traditions while explaining the art of fresh pasting making. We made and ate two different types of raviolis (beef & ricotta) in a tomato sauce, tagliatelle in a lemon sauce and an individual tiramisu for each of us. Emily also served a caprese salad and a meat & cheese sampler to accompany our meal. All of the food was excellent and the ingredients were extremely fresh. I would highly recommend Emily’s cooking class to anyone visiting Positano/Montepertuso.

We stayed in Positano for a week and among all the activities and adventures we had, this was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Our family of 4, including two kids, had an amazing experience making delicious Italian dinner guided by Emily, who taught us how to make cheese and meat ravioli, spaghetti, and tiramisu. Their home grown olives and tomatoes were to die for. Don’t miss this experience!
