National Portrait Gallery
The National Portrait Gallery, located in St Martin's Place, of next to the largest and best known National Gallery, in Tafalgar Square, houses the originals of Jane's most famous portraits Austen, starting with the only authentic portrait, painted in pencil and watercolor by his sister Cassandra around 1810. We can also make a quick visit to the National Gallery upon request
Covent Garden
We will visit Covent Garden, the picturesque market in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of the city. Here we will have the opportunity to see from the outside the house where Jane Austen stayed during her days in London and the Royal Opera she loved so much; We are in the area of the theaters that Jane attended with great pleasure. Fleet Street
Fleet Street is one of the most famous streets in London and formerly home to major newspapers and several publishing houses. Great authors and famous Londoners lived in the area (Samuel Johonson, Samuel Pepys, Dante Gabriel Rossetti ...) Immediately after the Strand we find ourselves in front of the Court of Justice. Twinings
We will visit the Twinings store where Jane Austen used to buy the tea, which he loved so much. We are talking about the oldest tea shop in the world, founded by Thomas Twining in 1706. Inside you can buy any type of Twinings tea, e admire in the small museum, ancient and precious services from you; maybe those who loved to use our Jane.
Somerset House
Finding ourselves in this area we cannot fail to visit the interior of the beautiful Somerset House, one of the most beautiful historic houses in London and home to the Courtauld Gallery and the Courtauld Institute of Art.
