The tour was very well structured, and gives a good sense of the history behind Edinburgh; contemporary Edinburgh; and was full of little tidbits we had no idea about. My wife and I selected Edinburgh Cab Tours based on a recommendation from a friend. We could not have been more pleased with both our private day tour as well as airport transfers (including transfer with city center tour). Andy was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and thoughtfully prepared a custom tour for us based on points of interest we wanted to see and the type of experiences we were looking to have. At each stop, he had information prepared to show us regarding historical pictures and maps and the like to enhance the experience of what we were viewing. We were picked up promptly both at the airport and also at our AirBnB. Although this tour was only my wife and I, Andy's vehicles are large and comfortable for groups and he has water/snacks onboard for the comfort of the passengers. For me it is worth a mention that Andy is not only a safe driver, but also very smooth. I feel the effects of motion-sickness easily and driving style has a big impact. I can assure you that everything was smooth and not once did I feel the effects of my motion-sickness. Each stop was well thought out regarding length of visit as well as stops for lunch. Andy also prepared several alternate choices for stops and lunch venues so that we could decide on the day how we wanted to proceed without interrupting the flow of the tour. At the end of our tour on the way to drop us back at our AirBnB, Andy was able to recommend several restaurants and also reliable tourist shops in the city center so that we could have a nice meal and find quality souvenirs at reasonable prices. Overall, I would highly recommend Andy and Edinburgh Cab Tours for your visit to Edinburgh and surrounding areas. I will definitely reach out to Andy again for my next trip as well as encourage friends visiting Scotland to consider him for a custom tour at very reasonable prices.
