    Chris was amazing! We loved seeing all of the Yorkshire dales and sites where the show All Creatures great and Small used fulfilling. We would totally do this again! Chris was very informative, Friendly and an excellent host. We will totally do this again!

    We had a wonderful time with Chris on the "All Creatures" tour. This was a private tour - just my husband and I, and Chris. We thought it was a great benefit to have a driver with personal knowledge of the Herriot/Wight family. We enjoyed stopping at the Herriot museum in Thirsk and seeing many of the key filming sites in the area. I can now say that I ate at the Drovers Arms! We had plenty of time at each of our stopping points. And from an admin standpoint, we got an email the day before the trip reminding us of the tour and then on the morning of, we got another email indicating who our driver would be, the type of car and its license plate #, so this was very good. Give it a go! Rain or shine, you'll have a good time.

    This was the absolute highlight of our tour of Europe!!! Allan is the tour guide you hope that you’ll get when you book the tour. His wife Lucy, booked the tour at the VERY last minute for us, because we neglected to book in advance. I just cannot say enough about this tour and our overall experience. The private tour is the way to go honestly. While I’m sure the groups tours are wonderful, the private tour is so personal in nature, because the tour guide can tailor the conversation specifically to just those in the van. This is an added element that I cannot overstate or overemphasize. You will not be unhappy you decided upon this tour.

    From the time Chris picked us up until he dropped us off, this trip was worth every bit. We learned so much about the author’s history, the lay of the land and how very special all of it was on this tour. Words cannot describe the journey. Chris’s knowledge of Alf Wight AKA James Herriot and all he encompasses bought the whole trip to life more than we ever expected. Not to mention the stress we left behind of not having to drive this ourselves. We never would have covered as much of the Yorkshire Dales nor been able to enjoy every moment. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Chris and Viator for the best highlight of our holiday!
