OUR FIRST STOP AFTER PICK UP WILL BE SAINT MERE EGLISE WHERE YOU CAN SEE THE CHURCH AND HEAR THE STORY OF JOHN STEEL WHO GOT STUCK ON THE CHURCH TOWER AND THE FATE OF THE BRAVE MEN OF THE 82ND AIRBORNE WHO LANDED IN TOWN. YOU WILL HAVE SOME FREE TIME TO WALK AROUND AND SEE THE MEMORIALS THAT ARE AROUND THE TOWN SQUARE.

Utah Beach

THERE ARE NUMEROUS MEMORIALS HERE TO SEE THAT HONOR THE MEN THAT LANDED AND FOUGHT HERE. SEE WERE THE 4TH DIVISION CAME ASHORE AND HEAR WHY THERE WERE FAR LESS CASUALTIES COMPARED WITH OMAHA BEACH. THERE IS ALSO A MUSEUM ON THIS BEACH . THERE IS A LUNCH BREAK AFTER OUR VISIT ON UTAH BEACH.

YOUR VISIT TO THIS PLACE WILL BE ONE TO REMEMBER SEEING THE HIGH CLIFFS THAT THE RANGERS HAD TO OVERCOME. HEAR THE STORY OF THE RANGERS CLIMBING THE 100 FEET HIGH CLIFFS AND HOW THE GUNS WERE DESTROYED .YOU WILL BE IN AWE OF THE TERRAIN. THERE IS A MEMORIAL FOR THE RANGERS ON TOP OF THE OBSERVATION BUNKER. YOU WILL HAVE SOME FREE TIME TO EXPLORE AND TAKE PICTURES.

wHEN WE ARRIVE AT OMAHA BEACH YOU WILL SEE THE DIFFERENCE WITH UTAH BEACH. YOU WILL SEE SOME OF THE GERMAN FORTIFICATIONS THAT ARE OVERLOOKING THE BEACH AND SOME HAVE TURNED INTO MEMORIALS . SEE FOR YOURSELF WHY THIS BEACH WAS CALLED 'BLOODY OMAHA ' THE BEACH WHERE THE 1st INFANTRY DIVISION AND THE 29th INFANTRY DIVISION LANDED.
