We didn’t know much about the Black Forest before coming to Germany, but Simone did an incredible job showing us the Black Forest and sharing all of the hidden gems along the way! Highly recommend! She took the time to make the experience personal. She’s absolutely fantastic!

We booked a private tour with Black Forest Tours as part of a weeklong trip to the Black Forest. I have to admit I was a bit weary as private guides are expensive and you never know quite what you're going to get. However, we really need not have worried. After completing a form asking what kind of experience we were after, our guide, Simone, delivered a perfect day out. She took us to places we would never have thought of going, patiently answered endless questions about the Black Forest and Germany, and recommended a fantastic walk for us to do the next day (and even sent us detailed instructions on how to get there and back). To top it all off, the weather was absolutely superb. I would recommend thinking through what you really want to get out of the tour in advance and being honest with the guide as possible (for us that was more 'normal' life and scenery, less cuckoo clocks and historic dates). In the end, we got a fantastic insight into life in the Black Forest and a tour which felt more like a friend was showing us around a place that she loves and wants to share with visitors than a standard tour. Thank you Simone!

Simone did a great job at putting the package together for my sister and I. A walking tour of Frieburg was great. It was such a nice cozy town. The next day Simone drove my sister and I around the Black Forest, showing us all of the treasures of the forest, and she even show us the back roads that she only just discovered that day. We finished the tour in Baden-baden, finishing the day in the baths and a nice dinner. I hope to come back in the future to explore more of the Black Forest and the towns.

I loved how freestyle our day was. Simone took queues from us and what we seemed to be enjoying. Some of our stops were so off the beaten path (case in point: an adorable homemade cuckoo clock-style outdoor village, replete with water-driven action, at the base of the Black Forest). Along the way, she asked questions that guided where we would go next. We were blessed with being able to see the German National Team practice a few heart-stopping jumps. Simone is very laid back and shared her own experiences of living in California and working in the tech industry. The conversation was never awkward or forced, and Simone made every effort to make our trip about what we wanted. I felt that we saw parts of Germany that are local and not touristy. Highly recommend.

Simone took the time to understand our needs and was able to allow us to experience the true Black Forest Area. She will provide hikes or just exploring of the countryside and mountains. Our tour with Simone was just brilliant! Simone is such an easy going person, the kind of person that you actually consider a friend by the end of the day. She was super knowledgeable and made the day about us and what we wanted to see and do. She was also great for offering advice about lots of different things. We will definitely be doing another tour when we return as we know it will be worth it!! Could not recommend Simone and her tour company more - just perfect :)

My family and I had a FABULOUS time touring the Black Forest with Simone! After Simone picked us up from our hotel she took us to this amazing grocery where I had the best pretzel with butter I’ve ever had in my life. It was so soft and the butter was out of this world. I’m still dreaming of that pretzel. We then did some exploring of the countryside and mountains, went on a hike, bought a clock, enjoyed lunch on the water, and stopped for Black Forest cake. We all agreed this was our favorite tour. It was fun getting a customized tour where we were able to eat AND be active.
