    Gary took my friends and me on a tour of the Scottish Highlands that was absolutely amazing. We saw so many beautiful sites, including Doune castle, meeting some gorgeous Highland Cows (Heilan Coos), visiting an incredible world-class chocolate shop, and more. It was an unforgettable experience, and Gary was a fantastic guide and a true joy to talk to and spend time with. I'd recommend Iconic Tours to anyone!

    This tour was, indeed, the highlight of our time in Scotland. Even though the day was a bit rainy and somewhat dreary, our tour guide, Scott, made it a fabulous and memorable day for our family of four! Scott is……exceptional. We’ve been on many tours with just our family and this one was, undoubtedly, the most enjoyable. Scott has a wealth of knowledge about all things Scottish (and many other things as well!) and he imparts his insights in a lovely, kind, funny, interesting, and altogether excellent way. You just have to take this tour with Scott to see what I mean. You will NOT be disappointed. We laughed, we learned, we chatted, we laughed some more and had a wonderful day.     Our 5-person family really enjoyed this tour. While we have also enjoyed group tours on Viator, having a personalized guide and tour was really enjoyable. Jim, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. At multiple time, he gave us options (e.g., see the castle or spend more time at a hiking trail), which helped customize the tour to what we wanted to see and experience. He also gave us the opportunity to visit local shops and cafes to sample the best local options. The Highlands are absolutely gorgeous and would recommend this tour to folks staying in Edinburgh. You haven’t seen Scotland unless you have seen the Highlands!

    Gary was a great tour guide. We had a wonderful experience with him. He gave us great recommendations and was able to incorporate things the kids were interested in as well. They loved it! We all had a lovely time. Would take another tour with him.

    Our guide, Jim, was a master storyteller and had an envious knowledge of Scottish history. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would definitely go again. We saw many beautiful places that weren’t even on the initial itinerary, and we attribute that to Jim’s knowledge of the area. This tour was 100% perfect!

    Stirling Castle

    We will stop for the best view of the castle where you can learn all about it's more interesting history. If you like, we can arrange for you to go inside and you can skip something else.

    Callander Visitor Information Cantre

    Stop to wander through the streets of quaint town on the the "entrance to the Highlands."

    Duration 45 minutes

    Kilmahog

    Meet some Highland Cows if they are out and about. Usually we can do this from April-October, outwith these months they are inside for the winter.

    Loch Lubnaig

    Take a stroll by an extremely pretty loch with the Highland hills rising by it's sides.

    Falls of Dochart

    Time permitting we can visit the picturesque Falls of Dochart in Killin. The falls are wide rather than high, but set around gorgeous rock formations and an ancient bridge worh views over to Ben Lawers, the 10th highest mountain in the UK. Nearby there is an excellent smokehouse if anyone wants to try some very local smoked salmon.

    Deanston Distillery & Visitor Centre

    If you like the idea of a distillery tour or whisky tasting, let us know and we can suggest times and experiences to book. Please note this is not included in the tour cost as not everyone wants to do this.

    Visit the grave of one of Scotland's most infamous heroes...or was he a villain?

    The Kelpies & The Helix

    Although the rest of the tour is about ancient Scotland, if you wish we can stop to see the amazing Kelpies sculptures in Falkirk on the way to, or from, the Highlands. These modern sculptures are huge and everyone who seems them are in awe. You will also find out about the mythology behind their name.
