Wow! An absolute gem of an impromptu visit. We were doing a self guided Barossa Valley tour and saw Chateau Tanunda sign posted. A bit of research told us about their tours and tastings. We couldn’t book on line so took a chance at cellar door and asked for a tour. They could fit us in a couple of hours later so, we explored elsewhere and came back for a thoroughly enjoyable tour, some history and a delicious wine tasting. They could not have been friendlier or more accomodating. Needless to say we left with a couple of bottles purchased at cellar door. A great experience in everyway. 😊

This winery is over 130 years old. The beautiful bluestone building alone is worth the visit. The cellar door is spacious and exquisitely laid out, with one wall detailing the history of the company. Sharon was our host and she was very knowledgeable about the wines they make. Their old vines collection is excellent, just a bit pricey.

We did a tasting for our family group. The wines were lovely and the staff were friendly. We had 2 small children with us and they were very accomodating. The grounds and building are a must see.

We had a great tasting experience. The staff were very accommodating and knowledgeable. Wines are of good quality. The château has been well maintained and has an amazing view of the vineyard. Highly recommended for tourists and wine enthusiasts.

Went here early October 2022 and I can say that this is the most memorable wine tasting experience and by far the best winery tour I’ve ever had. We were also warmly welcomed by their friendly staff. If you are really into wines, this is definitely a place to visit. I am sure your wine standards will change once you have tried their rare and I iconic wines. Aside from the experience, you will learn a lot from them about wine varieties and backgrounds. Instagrammable photos that can be taken outside is a bonus. Check their website and instagram account. Great customer service and a super highly recommended place! ☺️
