What to expect
Bath
Departing at 9am from your hotel in Bath or the surrounding area.
Castle Combe Village
Start off visiting the fairy-tale village of Castle Combe. Undoubtedly the jewel in the crown of the southern Cotswolds.
Lacock Abbey
Continue on to Lacock. This is the charming village, home to a wonderful Abbey and many small artisan shops. A place where Harry Potter, Pride and Prejudice and many movies and TV shows have been filmed.
Bibury
We then head up to the central Cotswolds, to the iconic Arlington Row in Bibury. With its crystal clear waters and wonderful old Cotswold cottages.
Burford Library
Heading on to the town of Burford, often called the ‘Gateway to the Cotswolds’. A very iconic town and home to one of the most beautiful and ancient churches in the region. Stories aplenty! This is also an ideal place to have a spot of lunch.
Stow-on-the-Wold Market Square
After lunch we drive north to Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest town in the Cotswolds. Here you’ll have time to browse among honey-coloured buildings, cosy pubs, narrow streets, interesting shops and tiny tea rooms.
Bourton on the Water Visitor Information Centre
Our next stop is arguably the most famous Cotswolds town and regularly voted one of the prettiest villages in England; Bourton-on-the-Water. Known as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’ there is plenty to see and do with a wealth of attractions, shops, restaurants and tea rooms.
Lower Slaughter Museum
Finishing off at England’s most romantic village - Lower Slaughter. Without a doubt one of the most picturesque villages in the whole of the Cotswolds. We walk along its bubbling brook to an ancient flour mill as the sun gradually goes down. When the sun is low and it catches the honey coloured limestone buildings, it is a sight to behold.
