Timanfaya National Park
The eruptions of Timanfaya 300 years ago forced half the population to leave the island and try to make a living away from Lanzarote. However, part of our family remained, enduring the 6 endless years during which 25 volcanoes buried 11 villages and the best farmland.
On this tour you will not only enjoy lunar landscapes of unique beauty. By visiting the national park you will also understand what the eruptions of Timanfaya mean to us.
Once inside the Timanfaya National Park we'll test the high temperatures recorded just below the earth's surface, followed by a tour around the amazing and unforgettable Route of the volcanoes.

El Golfo
A photo-stop will be made at the beautiful volcano El Golfo, well known for its green lagoon.
Los Hervideros
Continuing along the rugged coastline we'll see a stunning panoramic view of Los Hervideros with its many tidal pools and the salt flats of. Janubio, the largest in the Canary Islands.
La Geria
In the way back to Arrecife, we'll drive and stop at La Geria the wine district where you can take pictures and taste the local wine
Jameos Del Agua
Los Jameos Del Agua, a tunnel formed by cooling lava, decorated by the famous local artist, Cesar Manrique. Its salt water lagoon is home to a species of small blind crab, unique in the world.

The tour was excellent. The guide was very informative and pleasant and speaks fluent english. Itinerary is flexible and it is possible to tailor it to to your preferences. I would highly recommend this tour. It was great day and great experience.

We were looking for a shore excursion that hit two big attractions in Lanzarote: Timanfaya and Jameos del Agua, and were unable to find something that worked with our time in port. Booking a private excursion was a great option, especially when were able to find two other couples to share the cost. Our guide and driver were both locals and you could tell how much they loved sharing their island with us. Pickup and dropoff at the port were so easy and I appreciated the communication by email before the trip. When our cruise swapped port days at the last minute, the company was willing and able to adapt which was hugely appreciated. Overall, highly highly recommend!

We paid for a private tour but the morning we met the guide we learned the vehicle had blown a tire and we were now in a group tour. It wasn't a bad experience but as remedy for the situation they offered to cover our park entrance fee. Ulimately, we learned a lot, the driver was excellent and kind, the guide was very knowledgable and professional but I think the experience was overpriced. In the end, there were many more affordable tours listed that offered the same itinerary we experienced : 1. Timanfara Natl Park 2. El Golfo 3. Wine Tasting. A nice day but over priced.

Wonderful experience, everything was great, Angela who answered every question by mail and whatsapp, Paul the tour guide who has fluent most understandable English, very polite knowledgeable and patient and the driver. Everything was really great.

We had an absolutely fabulous tour from Lanzarote Experience. Our tour guide was also Angela who made the trip so interesting both with her commentary about the history of the area and explaining what we were seeing as were drove through the national park. . She knew how to time our tour so that we got to the national park before the crowds which were waiting in cars miles long when we left. Our driver was skilled around the mountains and the scenes were phenomenal. If you are in Lanzarote do not miss this private excursion and hopefully you too will have Angela as your guide.

Excellent tour, very well paced. The tour guide, Angela, was very knowledgeable and created a very interesting tour. The scenes were beautiful and the ride itself was very enjoyable. The wine tasting and camel rides were exquisite.

What an incredible day! My husband and I booked a private six-hour tour to visit Timanfaya, El Golfo, Jameos del Agua, and a winery and it was worth every single penny. Our guide was lovely, kind, and extremely knowledgeable about Lanzarote. We really feel like we got a true taste of the island and even squeezed in a trip to the cactus garden. We were picked up in a large van that was permitted to drive through Timanfaya and that was also a great touch. It was wonderful feeling like VIPs all day as we skipped queues given our guide was prepared and knew everyone on the island it seemed. I can’t recommend a private tour enough - really a delightful, interesting day.

Angela Angela Angelaaaaaa!! Wow ! Is she real or an angel ? She is such a passionate person and really cares about her island. I didn’t feel like she was our guide but more of our mother. She showed us through the love of her island and people that you can take care of and pass on through generations this love and show others how to appreciate and preserve Mother Earth and all it’s beauty. Truly a pure pure energy. Thank you for reminding us of the kindness of the human spirit and showing us your beautiful home of Lanzarote. It was truly a pleasure and souvenir that we will cherish forever.
