Historic Centre of the City of Pienza
After lunch, the tour continues visiting Pienza with a tour guide (1,30 hours) : a complex of beautiful and harmonious palaces with its Cathedral, the papal residence or Palazzo Piccolomini, the Municipality, and the enchanting central square. The impression one gets while walking through the narrow streets of Pienza is that of a harmonious and proportionate whole; a set of works of art and buildings, as if you were admiring a Renaissance city portrayed in a beautiful painting. The guided tour ends with a tasting of the typical Tuscan buscuits “Cantucci”. In Pienza you will also have time for shopping. At the end of the tour you’ll return to Rome.
