Your Itinerary

Trevi Fountain

We will start our tour at your hotel and go early to the most famous fountain in the world, the Trevi Fountain, while there are not a huge number of people there. Trevi is a hidden treasure, created in the 18th century and still powered by an ancient Roman aqueduct that has been running for 2,000 years. Prepare some coins to throw into the fountain and be sure to return to Rome, as the Roman tradition says. If you wish, next to the fountain you can try the most delicious Roman ice cream.

Spanish Steps

Then we will go to the Spanish Steps, one of the most attractive places in Rome. You'll enjoy a view of the Church of the Holy Trinity at the top of the stairs and the Barcaccia Fountain at the foot of the stairs, and learn about the fascinating history of the Spanish Steps. We will also visit with you the oldest coffee house in Rome, open since 1760!

Pantheon

You can enjoy one of the greatest creations of ancient architecture. The Pantheon was created by the Emperor Hadrian, a man for whom architecture was his main passion in life. The Pantheon united Roman religion under one huge dome, which to this day is the largest in the world. Because of the metal detectors set up in Covid period, there can be a long line to the Pantheon, so perhaps we will enjoy its view from the outside.

Piazza Navona

It is impossible to imagine visiting Rome without Piazza Navona. It was created on the site of an ancient Roman stadium and today is one of the most striking examples of Roman Baroque. In the center of the square is the second most beautiful Roman fountain created by Lorenzo Bernini, the "Fountain of the Four Rivers", depicting the symbols of the largest rivers of the four continents: Nile, Ganges, Danube and Rio della Plata.

Piazza Venezia

(Pass by)

Built only 100 years ago, the Altar of the Fatherland in Piazza Venezia is today one of Rome's main symbols, striking for its size and decoration. Here is the tomb of the unknown soldier, the eternal flame, the permanent guard and the museum dedicated to the unification of Italy.

Circus Maximus

You will see the largest arena of the ancient period, designed for chariot races, accommodating 250,000 spectators, located on the slopes of the two Roman hills - Palantine and Aventine, as well as the imperial palace on Palatine Hill, from which the emperor himself watched the race. The chariot races had not only the function of entertainment, but also had an important aspect of socialization and propaganda of power. This is why the horse-racing arenas were much larger than the amphitheaters.

Giardino degli Aranci

It is the favorite place of all Romans and many visitors to the city, where everyone always wants to return. From the Orange Garden you will see the most beautiful panorama of the city, a beautiful perspective view of the dome of St. Peter's Cathedral, framed on both sides by Roman pines. Many Romans come exactly to this place to meet the sunset, take their loved ones on dates, hold wedding photo sessions.

Colle Capitolino

The English word for "capital" comes from the name of Rome's most important historical hill, the Capitoline Hill, which tells us of the exceptional importance of this place in the ancient period. Here was the seat of administration of the city and the empire, the main temple of Jupiter, and today there is the Roman City Hall, the oldest museum in the world, as well as the symbol of the city - the Capitoline Wolf, about whose history you will learn. The Capitoline Hill offers the most beautiful view of the center of ancient Rome - the Roman Forum.

Trastevere

Italian cuisine is perhaps the richest and most varied in the world. A special place in it belongs to Roman cuisine, rich in traditional historical recipes. Roman cuisine is delicious pasta, tiramisu, artichokes, oxtail and much more. Lunch will be part of our program and we will go to the traditional folk district of Rome, located on the right bank, Trastevere. We will have lunch in a traditional family restaurant, run by the same family for 4 generations.

Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore

Santa Maria Maggiore is the treasury of Rome, one of the four most important churches in the city and the largest cathedral in the world dedicated to the Virgin Mary. You will see the ceiling entirely covered in gold, the beautiful Baroque decor, the precious mosaics of the floor and the altar.

Quartiere Coppede

My main goal is to show you Rome from different angles, so we will go on this day also in the Roman Art Nouveau area, created in the early 20th century, named after the creator of this area - Coppede. In this place you find yourself in a fairy tale, in the midst of stunning castles completely different from each other, but created by the imagination of one man - Luigi Coppede.

Basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri

We will visit the largest baths in ancient Rome, the Thermae of Diocletian, built in the 3rd century AD, with a capacity of 15,000 visitors. After the fall of the Empire, the baths were well preserved and in the 16th century Michelangelo created one of the largest churches inside the baths.

Fontana dell'Acqua Paola

After Pope Paul V restored the ruined ancient Roman aqueduct he wanted to build a large fountain in his honor, which for 100 years was the largest fountain in Rome. We will go to the Janiculum hill and see not only this fountain, but also one of the most beautiful Roman views.

Piazza del Popolo

In ancient Rome this place was the northern entrance to the city, and today it is one of the most beautiful squares in Rome. We will definitely visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Popolo, where you can see two original paintings by Caravaggio and where Martin Luther once lived, it was here, in this church, that Protestantism was born.
