Deanna was an amazing guide. She was very knowledgeable, funny and provided the best true crime, vampire and ghost tour. I highly recommend her as your guide!

If you book this tour, which you should. I hope that you’re lucky enough to have Robby rob as your guide. He was smart, sociable, charismatic, knowledgeable, respectful and all around an awesome person to spend a couple hours with. Even the tour guides from other companies praised him as we passed them. When we asked a stupid question, he never talked down to us. He always made sure to involve everyone in the group and made us feel welcome. It was truly a fun and unique experience.

Our tour Chris was amazing! He was funny, knowledgeable, and patient. He had so many engaging stories and interesting historical tidbits. We were a big, loud bachelorette group, but every single one of us was engaged the entire time. It was really a fun way to get to know the city and some history -- and perfect for this spooky time of year. I highly recommend taking a tour with Witches Brew! You won't regret it!

Our VIP tour guide was named Jody and she was a very sweet young lady. I did notice, however, that she kept getting distracted and losing her place when she would tell the stories of the different locations all around the French Quarter. She just wasn’t as animated or funny as I thought she would be, especially when you are the leader of an excursion like this. The overall tour was very informative. The history of New Orleans is very complex, dark and fascinating. We definitely learned some things on this trip. However, we chose the VIP tour for double the price, and there was nothing (in my opinion) that was VIP about it. We just weren’t walking with the huge crowds and other tour guides on the streets. It seemed like it was a little bit more quiet on our route, but there really wasn’t a difference in comparison to the other groups that we saw. Not worth the VIP experience. Get your tickets on Groupon, but call ahead first before you book your date and time!

I highly recommend a tour when you go to NOLA. I want to give this 2 stars but that wouldn't be fair to the business. I was not impressed or enjoyed this tour. With that said, I am sure I would have enjoyed it with a different tour guide. Our tour guide had a bit of a poor attitude. Check in was 30 min earlier than the tour started. We were one of the first groups to checked in, and I had asked about a ladies’ room in case someone in my group needed to go. This was the first of feeling the guide was a little hostile. She was making comments about people checking in and not being “ready to go” for the tour. We were ready and excited about this tour. Once she had the number of people she needed for her tour, we were off and sprinting. We knew and expected this to be a 2-hour walking tour. Great, we are capable; even our 72-year-old mother. The guide walked so quickly that we did have to trot to catch up. Now, this is the French Quarter and it has a LOT of broken or brick sidewalks and it is dark. I don’t know how many times everyone on this tour stumbled or tripped because we are walking so fast and can’t see the sidewalks. When we stopped at a place for a story, she did not make sure we were all there before she started talking. We felt we had missed so much and couldn’t ask questions because we felt she would bite our heads off for not being with the group. We did stop for a “refreshment” break. She told us specific places for the bathrooms, but you have to purchase something; purchasing is no problem. The problem was the place she sent us had no bathroom and wanted to send us 3 blocks away in the direction we had come. Throughout the tour, she made numerous comments about people leaving poor reviews, and I thought that was unprofessional. I understand and appreciate that you are in the hospitality industry and there will always be bad people, but don’t have a chip on your shoulder with every group. Even though this was not a good experience, we still tipped generously.

Robbie Rob was the best…knowledgeable, entertaining, responsible and professional. The 2 hours was informative and fun.

Our storyteller Cindy was excellent. Very knowledgeable & animated through the entire 2 hour walk. There was a mix of approx. 20 adults & children in our group, I had no trouble hearing what story was being told (except when radios were blaring down the streets). We had a rest point halfway thru where I had my first Voodoo daiquiri (Cindy’s recommendation) & it was great! The tour was fun & informative. The only thing I was disappointed in was no tours of the Lalaurie mansion were available (Warning: no private tours of any of the other tour spots are, either, so if you read that on the website, that’s not an option). I still recommend the tour, just thought we’d get the option to go into a few cool places.
