Private, Guided Parks and Scenic Tour of South Myrtle Beach and Pawleys Island

We drive from our meeting point along the scenic byway following the coast for roughly 30 minutes and then arrive at Brookgreen Gardens. Here, we will spend roughly 15 minutes talking about the history of the Huntington Family as well as Brookgreen. We will go into the visitors center and look at maps of the park. There is no admission cost as we will not enter the main park unless previously arranged. From here we will drive through Litchfield Plantation and talk about the history of this area while enjoying the views.

From Litchfield Plantation we will take a short drive to Pawleys Island. Here we will visit the historical Church for photos and history as well as visit the Historic District where we can talk about the early days and how Pawleys got started.

We will take a short drive from Pawleys Island where we will soon arrive at the Hammock Shops. Walk around this cute shopping village as we take a step back in time to the easy life. Enjoy some ice cream and snacks as you contemplate purchasing a new hammock ;-)). We spend roughly 20 minutes here before driving next to Huntington Beach State Park.

We will drive roughly 10 minutes from the Hammock Shops and arrive in lovely Huntington Beach State Park. Enjoy the natural scenery as we drive through this beautiful state park and eventually stop at the beach for pics and a bathroom break. We will spend roughly 10 minutes here before departing back towards Myrtle Beach. On the way, we will drive through Murrells Inlet and stop for pics along the scenic overlook.

From Huntington Beach, we will continue driving back towards our drop-off point as we go through Murrells Inlet. We will stop at the overlook and talk about the history of Murrells Inlet and how it became known as the seafood capital of South Carolina. From here we will drive back to the drop off destination where we will conclude the tour.
