Incredible experience made very special and memorable by our guide Michael. They did a great job working with our wish list and building a phenomenal itinerary, from Glasgow to Isle of Skye and Edinburgh. The Highlands were breathtaking and Michael knew the country, the detailed history and special spots, and was hilarious all the time. Highly, highly recommend.

Thank you, Andrew MacDonald & drivers Jim, Les & Ryan, for making our family trip to Inverness, Edinburgh and the Isle of Skye an absolute delight. Our travels to Scotland centered on my daughter's wedding, so the logistics of getting everybody there and back were complicated. But, Andrew was on-top of everything. The crew's professional, good humor, attention to detail and intimate knowledge of the area made for a perfect trip. The Scotland landscape is beautiful and the people are equally so. I've never written a review but am compelled to do so because of the excellent service and kindness of Andrew and his crew. Amazing experience!

Had booked a three-day holiday in Inverness but, plans going awry, didn't have use of a car. Didn't want to miss out on some of the exciting sites outside the city so asked the hotel for ideas. They linked me up with Hame Tours and it worked out perfectly. Not only could they drive me around, they became my guides. Steve and Andrew were very friendly and helpful, with Andrew even giving me some of his Gaelic musical renditions! They waited whilst I viewed the sites and gave me really useful tips on other places to see, as well as lots of history info as we drove around. If anyone wants to visit places like Culloden and Fort George but is worried about not having a car, consider getting in touch with Hame!

My guide, Seoras, was exceptionally knowledgeable, and his passion for Scottish culture, the Highlands and the Gaelic language is palpable. He is a natural storyteller, eager to regale you with tales both personal and epic.
I had the absolute pleasure of touring Inverness, Culloden and Chanonry Point. Including visits to famous inspirations for the book and tv series Outlander.
Serolas was incomparable with his generosity and eagerness to share. Unmissable tours with amazing guides!!

What to expect
See the Highland Capital, its Castle and Cathedral.
Learn some of its fascinating history and visit the hill where Saint Columba made pilgrimage to the Pictish King, preaching “new Christianity” to the warrior Brude in his hill fortress around 550AD.
Appreciate the strategic significance of the town to the sea and understand the various fortifications by Oliver Cromwell, and in turn the British Army, whose government forces have garrisoned the town from Jacobite times to the present day.
Motor past Tomnahurich Hill then down the mouth of the Great Glen to Loch Ness. Visit Urquhart Castle steeped in history, myth and monster legend. Take the opportunity, if so inclined, to do a bit of “Monster Spotting.”
Wonder at the geographic fault that divides the Highlands and glimpse the remarkable engineering feat of the Caledonian Canal, enabled by the Lochs that host its coast to coast passage.
At this point you have the option of returning to Inverness via Fort Augustus and the South shore of Loch Ness, taking in the impressive Falls of Foyers, or continuing Northwards from Drumnadrochit over Culnakirk Hill down into Beauly with its 13th Century Priory.
