Your Itinerary

Mirador de Chipeque

Fantastic views of the Orotava Valley, Teide, the IzaƱa Observatory and the sea of clouds.

Centro de Visitantes El Portillo

Interesting visitor center and its botanical garden. Here we will see very interesting things about the flora of the national park. Stunning mountain views.

Teide National Park

Teide National Park is the most visited in Europe and ninth in the world. In it we will see examples, explained by the guide, of a multitude of geological and natural phenomena. It has the Teide-Pico Viejo stratovolcano which, at 3,718 m, is the highest peak in Spain. Rising 7,500 m above the ocean floor, it is considered the third highest volcanic structure in the world and stands in a spectacular setting. The visual impact of the location is even greater due to atmospheric conditions that create constantly changing textures and tones in the landscape and a "sea of clouds" that forms a visually stunning backdrop for the mountain. The global importance of Teide lies in the fact that it is a living example of the geological processes underlying the evolution of oceanic islands.

Orotava Valley

Created by a colossal landslide, the valley is today an orchard where banana trees and vines are planted and where life bustles. Spectacular views of the mountains, the sea, and the neighboring island of La Palma. Depending on the time available and your interests, we will visit a cafe with impressive views, viewpoints on the road or the beautiful city of La Orotava, with its palaces and beautiful historic center.

Centro Historico de San Cristobal de la Laguna

UNESCO World Heritage, for being the first Spanish/American colonial city. Its historic center contains the first ideal ā€œcity-territoryā€ drawn according to philosophical principles. Its wide streets and open spaces are flanked by beautiful churches and public and private buildings dating from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries.

Wow. Antonio is an amazing and knowledgeable guide! This is a minimum of a two person tour but I would say perfect for solo at just roughly 250 US for 6-7 hours and fully customizable and private. Antonio studied geology and tourism so he is able to tell you about Tiede and the lava and rock formations which is very interesting and amazing! If you want a full tour of Tiede with a lot of information Antonio is your guy! Also you can just tell he loves the national park and the mountain as well as Tenerife so it was an amazing time. Also he brings his camera and is willing to take photos of you which is very sweet. You will be in good hands I was very comfortable! Thanks Antonio!

Antonio gave us the perfect tour of Tenerife! He is extremely knowledgeable about the geological history of the island as well as the plant life. His tour was private with just my wife and me. He very competently answered all our questions, and made every effort to tailor our tour to what we wanted to see and do. Antonio took several pictures and sent them to us a couple of days later.

Wonderful tour and Antonio very kind and friendly. Very passionate about Tiede but adapted tour to accommodate wheelchair and weather. The wine stop was also fun.

Our experience was a 10 star! Antonio is one of the best tour guides we have ever had in our travels around the world. Very knowledgeable, courteous, and informative! He has so much knowledge of the places you will be going. Planned our tour around what we had in mind with ease. We stopped for coffee at the top of the volcano, had lunch in a small town in Tenerife. I would recommend him and this tour to anybody! Heā€™s still sending pictures and recommendations of places for us to see while still here! Thank you Antonio for a wonderful day!

Antonio was in touch as soon as our booking was confirmed. Communication was really easy, and we were picked up from our hotel at a time to suit. Sharing his passion and knowledge about the geology of the mountain made this a truly memorable trip. We were treated to spectaculour views and also got the context and scale of the incredible natural events which created this landscape. Highly recommended. Amelia & Mike, UK

I agree with 7 star service, it really was! He was very friendly and easygoing, very knowledgeable, and very considerate - he adapted the trip to our needs and he was very passionate and loved showing us around. We got to know Tenerife and Spain through his eyes, it was so wonderful. He even had cold water for us or medicine for being carsick, so very thoughtful of him! I recommend his trip to anyone. Thanks for a great day šŸ¤©

What a fantastic tour. I don't know where to start...tour date 12-Dec-23 Antonio picked us up at our hotel in Garachico. The car is pretty new and comfortable, also Antonio is a very nice guy. Therefore the start of the tour was very good. This tour includes a lot of driving but it wasn't boring at all. Antonio explained us a lot of things all the time, history of the island, nature, geology,.... Also he is a very good driver, He knows the roads and we felt safe all the time. I really enjoyed the view while he was driving the serpents. He did many stops so we could take some stunning photos. We have seen all the places in the tour description and we had plenty of time to enjoy each location. We were never in a rush. He even did some extra stops at places not mentioned in the tour description. The tour took even longer than expected, but everything was in a relaxed pace without hurry. At the end of the day we were exhausted, very happy and full of new, amazing impressions and memories. Antonio combines his hobbys with the tour. He was taking photos with a professional camera and shared all the pictures with us (for free!). He is a big fan of the Teide and knows a lot about it. Therefore he could tell us a lot about it. We had an amazing day with Antonio, we have seen many beautiful places and we just had a good time. That was definetely the best private tour I've ever had. Thank you very much!

If you have limited time on Tenerife, or if you're interested in the geography and history of trhe island, this is THE best tour to go on. Our guide Antonio was a great host for the entire day, showing us the best parts of Teide and explaining how the island was formed and got its unique look. He explained the various interesting features around the peak of Teide, giving us loads of background information and historical insights. Then Antonio showed us around La Laguna, a lovely town with a great history, where we had a spectacular local lunch. I cannot recommend this tour enough, it was amazing from start to finish with a wonderful and extremely knowledgable guide.
